Cops pick on sports cars because according to them, Sports car drivers are *less responsible*

BUT ! the majority of accidents came from stupid drivers. NOT cars. and MOST stupid drivers came from regular cars like you see them every day on the streets. sports car is just maybe 5% of the whole car population. Are cops getting pissed these days because they have to drive those piece of **** Impala or Charger or whatever Chevy/Dodge made everyday? maybe that explains why whenever they see something nice they just have to pick on you. Cops love to pick on *nice* looking cars.

Hell Last month they pull me over for tinted window, Times Square @ 12 something MIDNIGHT. and I saw ALL THESE CARS go around me ALL with tinted window.

I know its illegal to have more than 30% tint in NYC, but what kind of retarded law is that? and you see Tinted cars EVERYWHERE on EVERY FREAKING BLOCK. Dont give me that bullshit about *cops cant see if the driver has a gun clearly if the windows are tinted*, MY ***, Thats probably why those 3 black guys got shot like 51 times when they didnt do anything but *bump into the under cover cop car by a little when trying to park*, they dont have gun, hell they didnt even have a chance to say 1 word but 6 cops fired at the car 51 times, and one out of those 6 cops actually *reload* his gun and fire again. *********

I didnt even bother to fight it, Cuz tinted window is a *100%* will lose case. They dont even need the cop to show unless you have *proof* that the cop handle the Tint window device incorrectly.

Sure. And getting pulled over at night for window tints is ridiculous.. You can have 25%-50% tinted and it'd look just like a 5% tint or 10%..

I can't say all cops are a-holes, but I'm sure there's a lot. Especially the ones who abuse their powers with a taser gun, which that, is another story.

There could be good and responsible cop, but sorry I have YET to see one. To me, they exist ONLY in TV, Im NOT talking about *Cops*. Im talking about like maybe CSI. and thats it.

At first I was like *wtf*, its ******* 12 something midnight and you pull me over to give me this kind of bullshit ticket? They tried to put me into *uninsured* crap first cuz when he was looking at my insurance paper, he was like holding it up the light and keep rubbing the paper, almost make it like I print it out of the printer or something ... piece of ****.

oh one more thing, someone smashed my brother's passenger side window Last last sunday because I think the theif saw the GPS suction holder on the driver side window. Yep the theif smash the window, found the GPS in the glove box (how many times I told my stupid bro to take the ******* Gps with him, never listen), and took it away. Funny thing is there WAS like thousand dollars worth of clothes in the back seat, he didnt take it LOL.

Then ok, my brother found out around 12 noon, he called me, then I was like ok ... he said he called the cop, I got there at the scence around 1, cops didnt show. he said he w ill wait for a bit more, I left, and at around 3, he was like **** this bullshit cuz the cop never shown, he just left.

Protecting woman when their purses get stolen, or helping old ladies across the street.

Unfortunately they have to perform this neccessary evil to make a living from month to month and for the city.

I can understand hating them because you get picked out of the crowd because you stand out, but you know the seriotype of having a sports car, you're first on the draft pick for tickets that day.

At the same time, I can see their angle of it, they need to generate some kind of income to keep police on the streets, because if they weren't there giving out tickets, god knows what stupid people would be doing...

a cop pulled me out of the car and searched me once for no apparent reason, I was driving the AT 8 at the time, and it was completely stock

he came up to me told me "get out of the car" I said "what?" he says " get out of the car, now!" but not yelling though......I got out, he searched me for some reason........then says "whats that in your pocket?" it was my freaking cell phone.
took it out looked at it, told me "nice phone" then threw it inside my car.......(this is my first WTF DUDE!!!) which he didn't take nicely.....then, finding nothing wrong with my car, he gave me a random bs "sir, why don't you have any license plate?" the car is 1 week old dumbass........... "officer, I just bought the car last Tuesday" "oh really? let me see your license and registration please" (which I found out later that thats what they ALWAYS ask for first) gave him everything, he was like "ok, I'm going to let you off the hook this time, but next time, drive carefully, and don't pull that stunt again do you understand?".......................

I just wish they when they gave out tickets there was some form of judgement and rationalization done.

Such as speeidng (within reason), on an empty street, regaurdless of time. Not saying you could set a land speed record, but anything within 5-10, maybe 15.

I don't see the harm in an extar 5-10 MPH, I've been in 3 wrecks and 2 of which I was hit by someone. 1 was just a lady going the speed limit, the other was a little honda civic that was speeding (he was definitely going faster than the other cars in the lane)...Both of them banged my car up pretty badly, but I didn't really sustain any different "damage" to myself or my car that was noticable...So 5-10 over...I don't see the issue..

Some people argue that police officers shouldn't even be able to pull you over for not wearing your seatbelt...It's not endangering anyone else on the road, and you knowing put yourself at risk, it's not like no one understands the importance of seatbelts...So why are they able to give stupid people tickets for that? It's like handing out a bonified you're an idiot ticket.

As for Cell phones...Thank god texas isn't as bad as some states. I'm not a big fan of hands free headsets and things like that, pisses me off because if makes me think people are talking to me, so I refuse to use them. But in some states if I want to talk to someone on MY phone during MY time, I have to have said headset or some type of hands free device for my car.

I'm not a big fan of cops at all, because I've gotten some pretty left field, ridiculous, I didn't get my qouta for the month yet tickets. But at the same time, if they didn't make some kind of income so we could keep them around, I can't imagine how bad things would get.

That's nothing, I got pulled out of my car and put into the back of his because my registration and inspection were expired, My car had been broken into a week ago and I had just gotten the glass replaced the day before this, and I get pulled over. My friend is in my car the entire time.

I don't have my license or a registration card, but I spout off my DL#, no problem at all, and give him a receipt for my insurance card, it has my parents names on it with our same last name.

He said, well you could have memorized Chris' DL# and that was in the glove box, you probably noticed it when you stole the vehicle. (WTF ITS MY CAR?!)

The whole reason he didn't accept the DL thing, was because I gave him the wrong address, it was still under my moms and not mine and god I forgot her exact address but I knew what street it was on and the digits it used, just not in the order...

But then he goes off and tells me the stats for my DL. 5'9, Male, Brown hair, White...How many 5'9 White males with brown hair go around stealing RX-8's, bother to memorize the DL# and some what of the street address, INSTANTLY know where a receipt for the insurance is AND offers him a receipt of the install of the glass on the passenger side!? I getting ready to spurt off what I had in my car, then I remembered he pulled up my info so I just gave him every ticket I'd ever had since I was 16 (21 at the time), and he was STILL reluctant to let me go but he ended up letting me go.

Jesus christ, I can understand wanting to protect and serve and keep someone from stealing a car, but I hardly doubt a thief would be able to provide as much information as I did...

Just ridiculous...He still gave me 2 tickets for the registration and inspection which I ended up getting taken care of and dismissed without a second thought.

Police...Bad.

I've also been pulled over for my car hydro-planing a little bit. Sprinklers at this grocery store are broken and the go all over the side of the road, I was exiting where it was probably the worst and I caught no traction and my back end slid out a little bit as I was changing lanes...

I got pulled over for wreckless driving.

WRECKLESS DRIVING!? I didn't even go over the speed limit, I didn't even get close to it! The left turn I was about to make to head home was no more than 100 yards from where I exited, made a right turn, slid a little bit, straightened it up, made my left turn, then blam, I see come cop lights and I get sticked with this ridiculous ticket.

I've also been pulled over for doing 35 in a school zone.

And this one is just plain dumb. The School Zone is in what was a big street for my city when it was first created, or whatever. It has tons of businesses up and down, and next to one of them, is a tiny 2-3 room school for the deaf (which I've never seen any cars at...ever...and I live maybe 6 blocks from it and passed by it everyday for 2 years.)...The schoolzone is is probably about 2 car lengths. It's wide enough so if the students crossed the street to walk home, they could.

Now, I've never seen the lights for that zone flash, EVER. Because I've never seen kids there, EVER. So you would think the 1 day they are on, I'd notice, right?

So yeah, I get pulled over for doing 35 in a schoolzone that's a little over twice the length of my car. Infact, to show you all just how small this is, I'll take pics of it.

So yeah, got a ticket for that, lights weren't even on. I don't even think they turn on...And if they did...a deaf kid is going to be crossing RIGHT THERE?

It would be jay-walking! There isn't even a light there! It's just Wow wow, slow down for 3 seconds, then you can go the speed limit again!

And there's a light like 400 feet away from that school zone! It would be safer for them to cross their anyway!

God now that I've thought of all the dumb tickets I've gotten, I really do hate cops...Ugh...Lubbock police can suck it.

The irony is that anyone who "works" for the government is nothing but a deadbeat. Example: take a ride over to your local city hall and observe what all the employees are doing. That includes cops. A few years back I was forced to wait for one of our "finest" for over an hour; at the same time there were tons of them walking around, standing, twiddling their thumbs, socializing....anything but actual work. They truly are good for nothing in 98% of what their job entails- yes, that includes the job description outside of the usual traffic harrassment duty.
