Thumbs up OMP adjustment question

You can increase the mop to a extent, by restricting the oil nozzles vent tube, but it's inaccurate and it won't add oil where/when you need it.

There are threads about it, just have to do some digging.
Thanks 1.3 - good advice.

If you plan on keeping the car around you should invest in a Cobb. Adjusting mop rated is just one of the awesome things you can do with it. I bought mine used for 300, best investment I made for this car to date.

So in an attempt to correct a problem I have I thought I would check my injectors to make sure they were wired correctly. According to this diagram they were wrong, so I re wired them as the diagram shows. Now my car won't run. So heres my question, is this diagram wrong?

Thanks dan, your description matches a second diagram I found. I am going to try that out and see what happens.

Is it just me. Or are more than one of the items in the diagram above in the wrong locations...

So I tried it and it works again, although my original issue still exists.

Well, I guess I don't have enough posts or something to make a thread anywhere I'll post this here.

Here are my dumb questions:

1) I think I blew my front left door speaker, so I took it to Best Buy and picked out some $60 Kenwood speakers and they're going to be installing them tomorrow. The speakers are 360W peak and 81W RMS. Will this be an upgrade over the non-bose standard speakers? Will they be okay with the stock headunit?

2) When I first bought the car from the dealership, the compression went out on the engine in about a month (car was at like 53k miles). Luckily it was under warranty and I got a brand new engine. My car is a 2005 RX-8 that is automatic. Was the engine they put in exactly the same as what the car was built with or was it a newer "model"? Sorry, I'm not into the specs, just the driving.

Thanks guys.

You can make threads in the new member forum, but posting here is fine too
RX8Club.com - Announcements in Forum : New Member Forum

The engine was a remanufactured engine of the same design that was in there originally. See this post in the new owner's thread for details. https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-f...4/#post4533721 (link jumps right to the post). You have a 4-port series 1 engine.

i have no idea about the speakers. Audio dumb myself.

Hello.

I would like to know if you need to remove the airbox to clean the throttle body, or if removing the accordion tube is enough. If so, is the accordion tube easy to remove? What do I need to disconnect?

No, you do not need to remove the air box to access the throttle body. You can get to it by removing the accordion tube. Just loosen the clamp and wiggle it off the TB. There are vacuum tubes attached, just make sure to keep track of where they go.

After my tire+wheel blew out on the highway, my TPMS light came on, and after i replaced the wheel+ tire with a TPMS unit, it still is on..

Do i need to do the steering wheel reset to get the light to go away?

Also, is it better to check the oil level when cold or hot / warm? I have always checked it cold without an issue, but lately ive been having problems not able to get an accurate reading on the dipstick.. (its all over the place)

If it is BOSE no. It is a bad idea to replace one speaker without the other being replaced. You will screw with the balance of the headunit and **** it off. You are better off taking the OEM speaker out and inspecting it before you replace it. It may not always be the speaker.

That depends on your warranty company. They pick out the engine that the dealer puts back in. If they picked a reman engine from some crappy shop, then it prob another bad one that was made ok enough to sell. Ask your service tech were the engine came from. Get your oil changed at the dealer, and on time. If your dealing with a warranty company, 1 cut corner and your out 5k.

If it is a female Japanese voice, yell at it in a man's Japanese voice. You can also try pouring Sake into the gas tank and see if it gets lower.

Not sure for the TPMS, but you should check your oil level while the engine is hot, after a drive.

Saw an RX with the radio/temperature display customized to add in the owners first name. Is this something anyone can do?

You need a goodbox and it only works on certain years.

I believe the Metra kit can do it too.
