I would bet the insurance company will be pursuing a judgment against her in court. For 12k, it's worth their time.
I do suggest that you make sure any restraining orders you have against her are in place. A girl crazy enough to do that to your car to begin with is probably not going to get any more sane once your insurance company starts taking her to court.

Didn't feel like reading anything after page 1, but I just wanted to say that this was one of the most entertaining things I've seen on here in a while. Good stuff...just be careful that the crazy bitch doesn't have someone come after you once you sue her the second time around

EDIT: I just realized your car was totalled. Wow that is horrible. The damage in the pics you posted don't seem like they're enough to warrant totalling the car. You could have taken it to a body shop first for an estimate and then presented that to the court before letting the insurance company total it. Hopefully you prevail...and this doesn't get any worse than it already has

well, the car was my daily driver, which means... i drove it, daily. I need a car now, and instead of waiting 3 years to get my money from her, i just went a head and did it the "easy" way. btw, i just took pics of the most obvious stuff that was fkd. i didn't post the interior, hood, roof and back panel pics. they were horrible. lol
