Back in the 8

Well, after a few years of driving other cars for various reasons, I'm back in an 8.

It's a 2007 Strato Blue Mica. It's mostly stock with the exception of the body parts and the wheels that you see. I'm not sure how much I'll do in the way of mods on this one, but we'll see. RP short shifter and maybe an exhaust are the only things I'm even considering right now.

Needless to say, it's great to be back and I've already had plenty of fun driving this past weekend! I've been fairly inactive recently, but I hope to be a bit more active around here now that I have another 8.

That doesnt look like a car with stock ride height to me. You sure it doesnt have some springs or something?

Congrats! Car looks great. It's good to be back, isn't it? I was gone for a bit too and I'm glad I'm back in an 8 as well.

I'll take another look, since you mentioned it, but that wasn't listed as a mod and when I checked (albeit quickly), the suspension looked stock. Are you looking at the ground clearance or the wheel gap? Maybe it's the MS kit that looks lower. I feel like the wheel gap looks pretty close to stock.

It could be the kit now that I look at it more closely. The wheel gap looks about right for stock.

Thanks everyone!

Not sure if lowering will happen. A mix of cost/benefit and potential problems with the roads I drive on.

Get rid of that cat, put on some proper ignition coils and get that bitch tuned!
You'll then love it forever :D

I've been through all of that before.

Quick list of what was in my old 8: RB intake, AP pulley, RB sway bars, HKS single exhaust, RP short shifter, catless resonated midpipe, Zex 55 shot nitrous, BHR throttle body spacer, accessport and a set of volks.

I'm not planning on doing anywhere near that much with this car at this time. I've already put in a short shifter and replaced the ****. I'm adding an auxiliary port for audio this weekend and removing the GPS that is currently installed. Other than that, I'm not sure if I have much in mind other than things that have to be replaced for maintenance.
