hmmm maybe...cuz I find the AC to be more than adequate when it's set on the coldest setting and at fan speed 2.
But I'm used to driving with just the windows down and sun roof open

I do wish the A/C was colder but that's a very very minor inconvinience because if A/C was all that I cared about, I would have gotten a corolla.

toyotas kick butt in automotive air conditioning. even a '95 corolla has a colder a/c than a '04 cadillac cts. i know, i recharged a/cs on both cars 2 days ago. the rx8 in my opinion has an above average air conditioning system. it doesn't take long to cool the cabin and is fairly quiet when set to "2" or even "3" compared to other vehicles.

i don't use the cup holders all that often but maybe you can use the cup holders in the rear seats to move it away from the heat source. plus, with the drinks in the rear cup holders, you're able to shift more comfortably.

me too. when it's really hot I might kick it up to full blast to cool down quicker & then it's back to 2.

they have this ice formula that people are using to make their 8's ice cold. i think its in the asia forum. at least somewhere in this forum. someone search that.
