iSki U Jelly?
Just to those people asking for my agents name and info. Here's my monthly insurance payment........ This is the agent that told me if I switched before my policy ended ( 6 months ) my credit score would take a hit and I'd have to pay a possible FEE. -_-

Mazda rx8 insurance?
Hey i'm interested in getting an RX-8 i'm 16 turn 17 in october (probably will have my license by April currently have my permit in new york) i'm wondering when i get my license how much insurance will cost for an 2005 touring rx-8 considering i'm a pretty good student and will have a B average... My dad uses state farm so i would be added under his insurance probably i know he gets discounts but i'm not sure exactly which ones.. i'm wondering an estimate of how much i'd pay as being a new driver while i've still got another year of school left... I've done a lot of research on this forumns and do realize i will have to take care of this car and do the mainteance... I found an RX-8 2005 grand touring for $7000 with 99,000 miles i will be looking at soon with my dad and his mechanic (think it seems like a good deal) thanks guys i appreciate it.

I HATE SPEEDBUMPS!
Well...this year, the car is about to expire on the 8 year/100,000 miles warranty. First of all, if you really want to get that car, you need to do a compression test to check the engine's condition. If it goes well, then it's really up to you. On the insurance, i'm not sure exactly what you are going to pay, but i know is you are really going to pay a big premium.

LMAO, very good!
The serious answer is only your Dad can find that out for you as if you are added to his policy, his address, age, driving history will effect the overall figure. There was a thread last week from a 17yo who said he'd had it added to his Mother's policy and they had classed it as a '4 door sedan' not a 'sports car', which helped the price alot. Might be worth mentioning that to Dad when he gets a quote.
As for the car itself, you are RIGHT on the borderline for the warranty so be carefull, 99k is an awfull lot on one of these. Compression test is a MUST, warranty or no warrenty. No good it being fine for the next 2 months and then going bang at 101k miles is it?
Anyway, well done for reading up on it so far and welcome to the world of car ownership, make sure you pick a good one as you first car is always something special.

From the description of your situation I'm gonna have to advice go to rx7club.com, make yourself a profile, check the for sale section and pick yourself out a nice NA FC. Drive it for at least a year or two, make all your beginner mistakes in that car and then come back to us.

Okay thanks everyone i also found an 04 with 90,000 miles for 6700 10,000 less miles $300.00 cheaper but a year older is that a better idea? Believe it or not my parents are comfortable with me getting an rx-8 as my first car because I'd consider myself pretty mature when it comes to driving... and I've had lots of experience driving I've raced stock cars for an while now my parents main concern is insurance which i will have them call about that... and also of course making sure the cars in good condition.. i don't plan on beating this car I'd rather have it last me a long time and do the racing on the track... I've done a lot of research on this forums about maintenance and stuff and the only thing that worries me about.the 04 is they say the 04 had some engine failures... but thanks for advice everyone

So, you put your car on your mom's policy, or are you married at age 20?
I don't understand why you think that $320 a month for a 20 year old is out of the ordinary...
BC.

I plan on buying a 8 in several months and have been pricing it up, Insurance for me is going to cost between $1200 - 1400 a year for full cover / Fire / Theft / 3rd person.
Currently I pay ~$400 for 3rd Party / fire / theft on a 1999 Altezza, so It's not too bad.
Would cost $1200 for full cover on the Altezza.
19 years old, Perfect insurance history for 3 years.
(All in NZ$)

Full coverage and im paying $87 a month. Minimum deductibles though, but none the less. Clean record, 25 years of age. It's classified as a four door too so that really helps.

$37.83/mo for full coverage with $100 comprehensive deductible and $200 collision deductible. Living in a low population density area helps with lower premiums. NO tickets, NO accidents in 7+ yrs.

I dont know how all you guys younger then me are paying less. I pay $140 a month with a $500 deductible, full coverage, 26 years old and havent had a ticket in 5 years, and never had a accident (knock on wood) Thats with USAA, everyone else was more expensive. Being in the military does have its perks here and there
