Question What are you paying For Insurance on your RX-8???

just wondering what every1 else is paying a month/yearly for their rx-8. can you post mileage/year of your car and your age/record(clean or tickets/crashes)

just curious about how much it really costs considering the rx8 to be a sports car.

and the mustang isnt considered a sports car correct?

and ya hello everyone lol

$640/6 months through Progressive -- Full coverage with pretty decent limits.

2004 w/ 47000 miles

24 years old, Zero tickets or crashes (at least as far as they're concerned)

and a Mustang is not considered a sports car... at least in my book

42 years old and an endless litany of tickets - with no current convictions.

900 for 6 months, in CT. 24 years old, 1 ticket. GEICO insurance.

But it really REALLY depends alot on location. In NC I paid 400 for 6 months, same coverage, same driving record. As soon as I moved to CT, they raised it.

$520 / 6 months thru Progressive -- am 37 married w/ kids but was considered high risk because up until my 8 I rode quietly on my wife's insurance plan for the past 10 or so years.

Beyond the whole "no insurance consistently for the past year BS my record has been clean for the past 10 years. Don't ask about before that though.

I hope to see my rate drop when I hit the 12 month mark in March. If not I might shop around.

Dang, some of you need to shop around for a better price..........or magically age a few years so you are in a supposed "safer risk" age bracket.

$418/6 mos, there may be a discount for insuring two cars, been with USAA for over 10 years.

43 years old, 2004 w/ 90,000 miles, no tickets on record.

One major accident in March 2008, which we were not at fault and the car was totalled. Renewed in 07/2008 and 01/2009 with no rate increase.

That's gotta tell you something.......yes I know the insurance companies "discriminate" based on age, but damn.....my wife just totalled her other car in March, yet, our rate is the lowest posted so far in this thread.

Shop around.

When I first got my car, I talked to the Progressive Direct guy on the phone to make sure everything was exactly like I wanted.

We talked a couple minutes about teenagers and the RX8. He basically said I'd be screwed if I had my teenage son anywhere near my policy.
