yea, the motor

Thinking about building an FI block next...

If I try and boost my Iannetti ceramics, Rick E and Paul will most likely flog me if I cannot get it tuned properly. Not sure how much boost the ceramics can take, maybe 5 PSI? So, that motor on the stand is my original block that will get ported and doweled together for turbo boost.

Mazda Motorsports rates the Iannetti seals for a higher boost pressure than you will ever run in a Renesis. It's all in the quality of the tune and supporting components.

That is a weird flapping sound. Did you listen with a stethoscope to see if you can narrow it down?

Stethoscope says water pump. I wonder if the sound resonated in the hard firewall water pipe?

it really reminds me of a spark jump, but that would have to be a huge jump to make that much noise..

BHR Ignition with 6000 miles on it, and brand new plugs for the dyno day, so even though it may sound similar, it is not a spark jump. My money is the water pump, and tonight I will drop the drive belt again to find out. Thanks for looking man!

How about 9 PSI, is that a safe bet?

the big problem for a street car is there's no guaranteeing the quality of pump gas

Paul is taking care of me on the water pump. Great company that Mazmart!

As soon as I have it installed, I am off to another dyno, with a catless midpipe.

Pump gas sucks - that may have been Denny's downfall also. Tune for 87 even though the pump says 91....
