Ah Victoria... Such a fun Place... LOTs of Pics...
Fell in love with Victoria a few years ago, seems to be a place with that perfect balance of old and new, size without being too small or too big, and to top it all off it's got a great British Feel and it's full of friendly folks...
Went up with the Wife and girlfriend, drive was nice. It was the first Interstate road trip in the E92 and it was superb. Very Quiet, comfortable, with plenty of power for passing and a relaxed 80mph pace had me at 27MPG, yippa! No Tickets, No drama.
Did have a C5 Vette think he was going to get away while in BC on 99. That was fun, latched onto his rear bumper to about 130 for a little while, he couldn't shake me even a little never gained any distance on me. That was entertaining.
Anyhoo, here's some pics...
Check out the Awesome parking at the Hotel Grand Pacific,
I know I know But I was pretty happy with this... Nice.
Concrete on three sides... Love a hotel that understands
View from dinner at Vista 18... Excellent Tapas, entrees just OK, waitress Falyn was adorable.
Fantastic city
Sun going down
A few drinks, and both the ladies were outta focus, it was the end of a long day out and about, we were all pretty wore out.
Parliament
Beer at Swans "Mmmmm Beer"
OK One of me, Nicely Lit... Running my mouth... I rarely Drink when State side, but get me up north and I drink like a fish...

Bug Zoo is quaint, small but you get to handle all the bugs, so that's pretty cool.
Wife has no Fear...
Neither does the other one.
Carolina Wolf Spider
Our Arch Nemesis the Hobo
The Widow... I grew up with these being all over the place in Colorado...
It's a LEAF... No it's a Bug... Well it's sorta both...
Laguna Seca Blue... Just add a Black Light...
Orchid mantis

Bad. ***.
I need to get to Victoria again. It has been years since I went there and the last time it was for work so I didn't really get to enjoy myself - 10 hour+ days in a server room is hardly fun.

It rocks.
Best advice I have for getting there though if you are not taking the Clipper. Go ahead and drive up to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal near Vancouver. The BC ferries are so much nicer than ours. I pull on the boat and head upstairs to a genuine sit down buffet. It's tasty, quiet and gets you away from the crowds. Good stuff.

A good lookin' wife AND a good lookin' girlfriend? Man I need to hang out with you heh heh
Nice trip, I've always liked Victoria. Now that I live near Seattle I really should take another trip there.

^^^ Am I sensing an idea for another RX8 drive?
Rev, NICE pics!!!!! Not crazy about the bugs though, but I can see Pam is cool with them. Did I tell you that my dad was born in Victoria?

We've been talking about an all-weekend trip for just shy of year now. I'm down for a Victoria trip.
Someone else needs to organize it though. I'm busy enough organizing stuff right now. I might be willing to do it as a bigger event, but an RX8 club thing would be cool.
It is a beautiful city, and actually, some of the roads out to Butchart Gardens are quite fun.

Yo Rev.... You up for planning a trip for all of us? I'll help, but you know the current stuff and are familiar with the roads. I haven't been up since I was a kid and that was on my father's boat.
Is it worthwhile to go up for a Saturday night, or does it make more sense to stay Friday and Saturday? Good places to stay? Cost? etc....
