I would not bet that PPF and trans mount up against those numbers, an entire rear end swap will be in order for something like this.

I'm looking at a few different engine swaps the rx8 I bought had a blown engine so I'm going down the route something like a 4/6 clylinder turbo motor possibly even a 8 cylinder. But that would the max I'd look to achieve by the money I'm prepared to spend

Gar3th, are you swapping in a Cummins diesel ? For that kind of Tq, you will need a 9 inch or 12 bolt, or even a Dana 60 with 2 inch axles . No way the crown and pinion will hold up to those numbers.

Tbh Ive been looking at other people's Internet specs and they are claiming 600ft lb plus but I'd rather over compensate. If that makes sense

Tbf does it matter what my bank role on the car will be, I was trying to avoid some extra fab work but if that's what it needs fair enough

FYI as you question my caliber of cash the last car I built had £12k in the engine to push it N/a to increase the hp by 75% so money is the least of my problems.

Wires are crossed now the torque figure was about the current engine I'm looking to build the 253bhp figure was the last car I built that was to explain I'm not scared to spend money on cars. At least I was close with the percentage

Gar3th, though some of us enjoy taking the ****,( joking at your expense ) me included, 200 was only giving you an idea of an engine making 700 lbsft of torque would set you back in $ .A lot of guys wanting to do a swap have visions of grandeur and dont think it out fully, they see the stats of an engine and imagine they can build a high horse power motor and drop it in for little money. I would suggest to take your time, look at different engines and plan it out to the last detail. I wanted to swap an LS into mine, but due to emission standards here, I settled for an LLT .Its a lot more work and the overall cost skyrocketed . Good luck with what ever you decide.

You are joking about the Cummins, I hope. You will need better front springs. lol

Yeah cheers mate I like give as much as I take lol. I've had the car probs since may. And I've spent more time reading and researching. I've decided the diff will be getting swapped out for something more substantial. And we will go from there

There will be a 8.8 kit out shortly, I've a pre-production piece currently in mine. Requires welding but no thinking

Would that be just a cradle or would include shafts (axles) and I'm guessing its the IRS 8.8? Also as above when is it likely to be released
