I been thinking of putting one in my Yellow 04. I love the car and I just want to have more power without all the brain damage.

I was thinking that yesterday ! what a project that would be! I wonder if a mustang engine would fit better because of the ford relationship? I am a chevy man though, that thing would haul ***!

That swap would be very damn interesting I must say. I know the rotary is light as hell compared to the ls1 so you'd definatly have to mess with the suspension hmmm damnit I'm starting to think about weight distribtion, mods, wiring and blah overwhelming myself. Oh and hey the dual exhaust will now make more sence. Hmm.. be nice if you could keep the 8's carbon fiber axel... blah my brain is all over the place right now.. shutting up

Maybe I can get a cheap deal on one of the Rx-8's that was on the tilted ship there and make my own lil Tv mod show and slap a Ls1 in there myself hehehe..Though for ***** and giggles we'll find a corvette and slap a rotary in there hahaha... now that would be some f'ed up shyt!

edit: I also forgot to mention the cost comparisons, an LS1 can be had much easier and cheaper than a 3 rotor (as much as i hate to say that..ugh), and will have better mileage, be easier to fix, and parts are more readily available. Say what you will about GM, but there's still a few things they can do right ...every now and then

The only engine swap (besides 20b) was the 2JZ...but I didn't keep up with the thread.
BOT: I guess whatever happens is based on your decision of what you want. It's all under youre control, subduedracer.

Skip the hassle of a swap and just buy a Corvette. Dropping an extra 400 Lbs in the front with half that in front of the axle centerline will make the car handle like **** not to mention all the drivetrain parts that are gonna break.
