Hard to believe someone with such a.hilarious thread like your swap thread woukd have better jokes. If i were to respond to that "joke" appropriately i woukd get banned. But since you have a roturd, no problems your way. So my hands are tied bc i love your company so much. Can i have another one maam?

It's odd that you think 'appropriate' is only possible outside of the forum rules. Expand your vocabulary a bit and find something appropriate within the forum rules. The rest of us manage to do it just fine.

I have always appreciated all sorts of builds regardless of engine. Hell, I Even like the smart for two with the busa engine lol I prefer rotary for my taste no disrespect to others. But if you think rotary does not make power go to the rx7club and check the 20b builds over there. Look for bewtew's blue rx7 on YouTube make over 800 horses with a dyno run to prove it. There's plenty of power made with rotary engines you just have to search. Don't think for a minute these builds aren't happening just because these guys don't post here. One thing is to make 2000 hp and brag and another is making adequate power and put it down while not breaking everything.

Im aware there are some super high hp rotaries. But somehow they are even more useless than a super high hp piston motor. Im not concerned with them. But moderate rotary to moderate piston is what im talking. Piston>rotary everytime. Unless we are talking building a jetski.

Now you're just being ignorant. A moderately built REW can go toe to toe with most moderately built V8's in a lot of situations. You can swing on those V8 nuts all you want as long as you can at least acknowledge that the 13b-RE and 13b-REW can make some good power and be competitive in most aspects.

Why not? I certainly wouldn't want to live with a V8...

Unless it's a small V8. But they don't make them for normal people.

People like Rotaries for many reasons , one of them being that they are unique . V8s are the common mans performance engine ........ nuf said .

Some of us don't mind having small engines. No compensations needed.

Why not? My swap gets better mileage than a stock RX8, easier to drive, less embarrassing to race, and........ Is better at everything

Other than sounding bad, annoying to listen to, vibrates everything...

The only reason it would be 'easier to drive' is if you are too lazy to move the shifter. That isn't anything in favor of engine choice.

Less embarrassing to race? I would love to see your RX-8 at a HPDE.

9K id like to.get an honest wet weight from your car on a certified scale. I would say that my swap weighs VERY close to what your turbo car weighs. Im genuinely interested in the results. Ill be weighing mine this week on a certified scale with a full tank and all fluids.

I can agree with you on this.

I hummed over many different engines to swap into my 8, but decided on the LS because it was the most cost friendly per hp. And my garage is full of their engines and I know them extremely well.

The rotary engines are cool because their unique. I know absolutely nothing about them besides a basic idea of how they work, but I know an assload about V8 engines and like the RX8 so voila, I decided to combine what I know and like.

But lets be serious, a cammed V8 sounds delightful even to people who know nothing about cars
