Driving tip: Don't jump off the gas when the rear starts to come out. It shifts weight forward, lightening the rear, and reduces traction in the rear even more. Stay on the gas and steer into it.
Most spins by drivers on public road curves are because they are taking a turn too fast, and jump off the gas to slow down, and the rear comes out.
But yes, it sounds like sudden traction loss at that point, which you almost caught, but because of the forward weight, overcorrection was almost a certainty, and it turned into a tank slapper when you did.

Well I understand now that I must go play I have a lot to learn about this car without DCS on
I don't think I yanked completely off the gas remember I have had a little bit of racecar training and I've driven literally hundreds of sports cars over the years of my car dealing. I probably went to neutral throttle. I would have to go do it again and feel what I'm doing.
In my experience though every other car every other sports car when the rear end comes out like that I can easily get it back.
The only time that's ever happened to me has been when I was very young in the rain in my dad's pick up truck) Or someone else was driving) like a Costa Rica girlfriend ))
This is the reason for my dilemma. Every other sports car I know that it would not have, what did you say? "turned into a tank slipper "
Oh she was tank slippering !!))

This is the thing with the RX8s DSC, in my opinion, it will save you from slight slips, snow and wet conditions but once you have departed controlled flight, it can make things worse.
IMO get used to the car without DSC, it's a purer, more enjoyable experience.

Follow up [the answer]
[QUOTE=Loki;4753009]I think it's difficult to say what a car would have done without being there with that car. It sounds like you were at the top of 1st gear coming out of a turn which should't really happen, you want to be in 2nd so that you have rpm range to accelerate. The engine has a huge mechanical advantage over the wheels, so it will break them loose, in any car. Next, reducing throttle shifted weight off the rear, and probably at the same time the DSC applied the brakes (which is what it does) on the rear wheels, further shifting weight forward and letting the rear go wild. Then you overcorrected and it pendulumed to the other side with way too much lateral momentum to be stoppable. I've been there too, have soiled pants to prove it.

Well I now know what it was and why I was very confused. I wanted to follow up and tell everyone what the answer is because it was a very confusing problem. I currently live in Russia here when you get your car washed they use copious amounts of soap and wax I had just had the car washed about 15 minutes before the episode and it was not enough time for the wax to wear off of the tires. This shouldn't be a problem in the United States because they don't use quite as much wax at the self wash.
I hope this helps make sure that if you're going to do any fast driving especially turning off the DCS you wait for half an hour of driving maybe 45 minutes ))
I know it's good to finally have an answer for this I hope that other people will finish their posts off with an answer. I currently have a problem with my car starting to ping over 7000 RPMs and I'm wondering if I got bad gas… I.e. gas that is not what it said it was to be :-) Russian corruption
Are usually is racing octane 98 here in Russia but who knows what they put actually in the tank. So it's nice of people finish up their post because I've been looking through all of the threads about pinging. No one has gotten back with a final answer.
All the best everybody
