hi to all i am new here.
i have a 2004 japanese imported mazda rx8 with japanese frequencies range radio (76.0-90.0 mhz) and my question is if i buy a factory radio european one from ebay or for someone else should it work?
my second question is that i have only one key with a separate 3key remote, could i buy a Replacement 3 button remote flip key case and install mine there?
long story short, if i replace my factory radio with other factory radio will work?

You didn't specify your location, but your profile says CY, so I'm guessing Cyprus!

I would be more concerned about obtaining the key remote. There are plenty of factory radios with different frequencies in eBay, either original used or aftermarket new. If the remotes are also region-specific, though, then you might have to source it from Japan as well.

yes i am from cyprus. so if i remove my head unit and put other one it will work fine?

It may work, but there may be a possibility only the head unit works, not the steering wheel. I hope I am wrong concerning the steering wheel.

Can any other forumer chime in?

In the US there are two different head units, BOSE and not BOSE. They care not interchangable. The levels coming out of the amp are different, higher on the not BOSE unit, a lot higher. There are no visible differences on the units. I think the part numbers are different, by like one digit. If I can find my not BOSE, I will look at the part number and post it. Other than that, there are likely more challenges that I do not know about, but I do know about this one. Check your audio system by looking for the name BOSE on the amp in the trunk.

i know that.i have the bose system. i will replace bose head unit with another bose head unit.
is this ok? does anyone do it?

My guess, emphasis on the word GUESS, is that BOSE for BOSE will be as good in Cyprus as it is in the US. Best I can offer though.
