Harness system

I have a street 2011 RX8 R3. I would really appreciate any help you all can give me on installing a GOOD SAFE
harness system. Would prefer not installing a harness bar, but will
if necessary. Would need direction as to where I can purchase and have system
installed. I live in central Ohio.
Would like to keep my Recaro seats.
Thanks for all your input.

No roll bar...no harness is safe.
Why do you want one?

Then you should know better

Rollovers with a harness and no roof support is very bad

It's not bad as long as you know how to setup a good safe system that works like OEM intended to.

OP
You can always do what everybody else does and utilize a harness bar, that way if a roll over should occur, the harness collapses just like the original seat belts would. The only problem with the RX-8 in this regard is that the seat belts are attached to the rear doors so you're going to have to figure out how you want to manage the harness bar with the doors.

If that's not a direction you want to go, then as previous post pointed out, you will want roll over protection.

As for choosing an appropriate harness, any 5 or 6 point certified harness will do or a 4 point harness with anti-submarining feature (such as the Takata ones) would work.

Hope this helps!

^ SUP. cool thread. Nice to see its being referenced.

since you have a R3, take advantage of the larger belt openings and get the 3 inch version. - because why not.
