DRIVING IN BOSTON: are you up to the challenge?!

I rather enjoy it (well, except for the potholes): you have to be on top of your game at all times.

you should check out rt 2, central mass roads... it's a big state.

 

I was just throwing idea's out there an willing to head up a run. If NH is too far, then so be it.

Anyone from NH wanna get together and do a last minute gathering/run?

 

I was in the Brighton/Allston area, it was so useless. I was stuck at every light, it was plain annoying. The RX-8 isnt a car that loves to sit neither, the car was burning HOT sitting at the light

 

I'll pass on that part of it and pose next to my own car lol....


Whatever I am down for it. Even if it's just getting together and having lunch somewhere. That's fine with me! Plenty of really good places to eat in the Natick/Framingham area.


1145- Merrit Parkway is a blast I concur. I drive that quite frequently on my jaunts back to NJ. In fact I will be taking it next weekend

 

It looks like most of us are around the 128/Mass Pike area, I'd be down for a just a meet around here.

 

I know lets have a meet and discuss ways to save me money to buy a Mazsport Turbo Type 1 kit hehe.

Climber when you turning 18 man? lol Was gonna suggest maybe a meet at F1 in Braintree similar to the one in Aug but I believe their age limit is 18 before 8pm or sumthing like that

Holy so you driving your 8 through the winter or trying to drive her as long as possible before you get in your beater? Could of swore I remember hearing you say you had one.

Oh Astral I love Boston Driving hehe.. Where you seperate the men from the women (no offence Krysty ). Went through there a few weeks ago and oi even with my 8 I didnt give a damn, had a SUV almost side swipe me because he wanted in and I just laughed and said "Screw you...!" and kept on going, needless to say he backed off and got behind me. Though one thing I hate went through a tunnel and come up to a sharp banked corner, no mention of merging or anything so i go to the outside of this Minivan, next thing I know is I'm almost sandwhiched between the minivan and another car to my right. THANK GOD for our brakes haha. Both cars on either side where looking at me mouthing "Sorry..." and I jsut waved them forward lol. My friend in just uttered "holy....." I just shook my head and gunned it to catch up to our friend we were following.

Anyone know any great Pizza Joints along the 128 area? Seems a simple meet might be the way to go on the weekend sometime soon. There is no real good place's in my area save for one but its in Walpole and unless you know Rt1 ya wouldnt be able to find it (but then again who knows lol).

p.s. me not feeling good right now bah.. damn allergies

There's a good place around Jordan's there (Natick/Framingham), John Harvard's. Good food & good beer.

 

Imax + beer and food = very good idea in my mind!

 

hey, it sounds like a great idea to have a meet and go F1 racing or to a bar... definitely dont let me hold you back on those ideas... i'd be content with just meeting everyone and seeing their cars.

glad someone agrees.... but have you noticed that there's alwaysssss so many cops on it? for me at least... last time from MA to westchester, i counted 14 cop cars, no joke... but usually they were sitting in plain sight in pairs, not very clever or tricky if you ask me

 

lets meet at a police station parking lot and drag race in it

 

I might be up for this. I'll be coming from western mass but it's still a short drive. It'll probably be my last get together with the 8.

BTW, very nice roads out this way and southern VT.

I'm driving the 8 until the first sign of snow then I'll be using the beater Maxima for the winter. It won't be too bad because i'll save gas money and I won't put too many miles on the 8.

Oh and I'm definitely up for the Jordan's IMAX idea.

 

i'm up for imax and food. I'm kinda looking forward to putting my winter wheels on. i painted them gold and i wanna see how it looks with them on.

 

I'll assume saying this weekend is a bit short notice for most of us.. So how about the following Weekend?

not yet, still got the stock 18" on the 8 now.

i painted the 17" winter wheels. i wanna see how it looks on my car first and decide later on if i want gold rims. will take pics once i put 'em on. but i think its a little too early for winter wheels

 

There will be hopefully many meets next year hehe.
Atleast that is my hope.
