I'm in for the 18th no problem. I'll prob be bringing the Mazdaspeed3 though as I've already put the 8 to bed until April 15th. I didn't realize so many people were so close.

Astral - Where are you in Waltham?
1145climber - How close are you to Rt 30?

I live right across the street from the Newton Mariott on Comm Ave (RT 30).

Clavius - That Mazport turbo kit looks promising, but consider this. There have been a significant number of folks that have blown or otherwise damaged their engines with turbo kits. If the kit costs $3k, installation and tuning will cost $1-2K AND you have zero warranty coverage. Now, take the Mazdaspeed3. 260hp/280lbft torque stock. There will be a $2K Mazdaspeed bolt on kit for it that will include coilovers, turbo upgrade with plumbing, and swaybars. That kit will bump it up to 300hp and 330 lb/ft torque, all covered by warranty (if you get a dealer to install it). Even better, when its all said and done, you are looking @ a $26k car with 300hp, all under warranty, and can smoke most everything out there thats not compltetely exotic. The power/weight ratio means it should smoke corvettes etc.

I hear ya RPIRX-8, right now though the kit for me is atleast 2 years in the future at bare minium unless by some great twist of fate the gods bless me with hitting the lotto. So I hope by then that any bugs the kit might have will be worked out also by then (If I'm lucky) Hymee and others will have their S/C kits out and for sale for decent amount of money.

But here in some list of priority for myself:
Bodykit, Rims, Suspension, CF driveshaft and swapped rearend from a MT.

Not sure if the last two are possible though I'd like to believe they are, I have the base model A/T so yeah no LSD and normal drive shaft. I have alot of car influcences while growing up so if I'm able to do this it would to a point fulfulling a dream of modifying a car to a somewhat "Hot Rod" state. The first three are totaly do-able jsut need the $$$ and some research on suspensions and what kind I'd personaly like.

Ahh I need to hit that damn LOTTO!!

Can't wait to see the MS3 though be my first time seeing one in person
Definatly going to be taking alot of pictures at this lil meet.

Ah cool, I used to drive past there all the time when I lived near Moody St. I take Rt 20 these days.

Would love to take a look at your MS3, we should go grab a beer at Bison County or something. (Then again, I'll see you on the 18th in Natick)

Anyone know who owned this car? It's for sale in Fall River. Looks like it has a RX-8 sticker in the 3rd brake light. 11K miles, 2004 Touring, 6-speed, leather.

^Damn low *** mileage. Definatly a spring/summer car only. Best bet is to get the VIN # and look up the service record of it. Both me and Kev (my10) own 04's A/T's but they do have their lil quirks some worse than others (like mine ). If I knew how to drive stick I'd offer to go check it out with ya for a test drive

Low mileage worries me with this car. The previous 8 I checked out had low miles due to the fact it was not driveable, and it had only 5K.

I agree with checking the VIN #. Maybe Carfax can help you gain more insight into the situation.

i have a low mileage car if you are interested in a rx8. i have 2 cars, the rx8 and del sol as a daily. just over 10k miles. black 2tone leather(champaigne) gt with a few comestic extras. plus winter wheels. just did recall with new starter, battery, plugs. its running strong.

if you are serious, you can test drive it. i'm planning to move in 2 months and looking to lower some bills. just email me. daiqnguyen(at)gmail.com

How long can a RX-8 (and your body) last in the potholes in Boston? I drove the RX-8 through Boston, the holes are size of Wyoming now. It's crazy...

it's rediculous, the negative temps and then the sun have cracked a lot of the pavement around here. it's rippled now, mini-speedbumps everywhere. it makes you want to take the T, but then you take the T, and suddenly you never want to take it again.
