I'm really interested in getting to know the local owners, I've only seen one RX-8 in Mentor it was a Red '04.

Right now I'm not looking to upgrade any parts, as I'm still in High School and don't get the cash flow to do so. But in the future I hope to upgrade a decent amount, noting to extreme.

Looks like I'm gunna have a fun time here
I'm looking to sell mine and I know my neighbor is selling his, but mine is higher in the mileage range now. My neighbors is mint and has all the goodies with only 27K on it. He put it on here somewhere in the for sale section.

I found my new best friend!
Bought an exhaust hanger removal tool from Amazon.
Was impressed how easy it was to get the grommet off the hanger, and I didn't have to lube the ****/hanger either!
Highly recommend it.

I don't think Brian or Megan come on here anymore.
You'll probably have to message them through email/text.

if I had to guess it was a motor swap, big turbo/supercharger or nitrous. still baffled how well you were able to keep up with the bike.

I modded my riding lawn mower today... Upgraded pulleys on the cutting deck to Timken bearings instead of Chinese stuff.

I sort of hate myself.

Hi Bryan.

Welcome to the gang.

We're not as active as we used to be, but we're here if you need any help with anything. I live in Broadview Hts. and have two 8s if you ever want to stop by.

I just know getting the tester wasnt cheap. If i can have you do it and both: pay less than @ a dealer and help you recoup some of the cost by using your tester, i'd rather do that.

I need to pay more attention to this thread. I'd certainly like to meet up with the other local owners now that I've got a few months and nearing 10k miles on my RX8.

Time to burn it...

I wanted to drop in here and share the good news.

I recently got a new job at Ken-Tool in Akron. They're a forging shop that historically make tire irons and 4-way lug wrenches and tools similar to that. They've been riding this product line for 60 years now so they're an establish company.

Who cares, right?

They hired me into a product development position. They're ready to expand from more commercial truck tires to passenger cars in any market where I find a niche problem that a premium tool manufacturer could make a tool for (think snap-on / matco, etc)

So, as you're fumbling around your cars, keep this in mind. You don't have to have a solution to the problem, just a "Hey, you know whats really annoying??"

I've turned R&D loose on trying to develop a release socket that will only torque to a certain threshold so guys with impact guns stop over-torquing lug nuts. (Josh, even though you just had a 20ft pipe)

Also, on a semi related topic, has anyone ever experience corrosion on the valve stems of their TPMS sensors?
