Dana, just curious if you still have one of my two-way radios?

I'm trying to build up enough guts right now to go outside and put my midpipe on. Why couldn't it be warmer? I wish it wasn't so sunny out right now because it's still cold as hell.

Oh and John, I hate you a little less now since you changed the name on the list to mine instead of Megan's.

Easy said he just did a "real" dyno and will run the AP today and see how they compare:

That test should have been done at the same time. Doing them days a part while you can get approximations can/will differ.

1 day difference isn't enough to argue John.
Those guys in Arizona don't go through tremendous climate changes like we do (like going from 55 to 18 degrees in 24 hours).
Plus, when I asked Jeff about "ambient temp" while doing our AP dyno, he said it doesn't matter if its 35 or 85 degrees.

I would argue the ambient temp issue to a point. If ambient temp had no bearing on anything you wouldn't see CAI on cars at all. That said...we don't gain much from them so he is probably more correct as it comes to an 8. But the air to fuel ratio would have to change with colder air. But either way humidity is going to play into it some...but Phoenix is kinda dry. *sigh* Who knows...

I'm not disagreeing with you John... I too thought that temps mattered.
I can't explain much in this subject because tuning was never something I knew a lot about.

From reading I'm pretty certain it's not even temps that are that big of a deal so much as humidity. Zona actually does have pretty serious temp changes this time of year (deserts are wicked cold at night) but it has almost no humidity.

Don't know why he didn't just have his AP logging during the dyno.

It is kind of constant but to say it has no bearing is silly. Jeff is supposed to be smarter then that.

Yup, it's been hanging out in my glove box for almost 11 months? Need it back?

So this time I did my AP dyno on a flat highway instead of a back road.
My dumbass didn't think about how fast I would end up going in 3rd gear at 7000 rpm!
So with a variance around 10 between all the logs, here are my max numbers:
232.46HP @ 6802 rpm
182.33TQ @ 5231 rpm
I'm curious what Easy comes up with when he does his comparison.

Yeah.
Since the stretch of highway is on the way to work, I'll do one log per day on the same area I generated those numbers and see how they compare.

Makes me wonder the difference between now and July. (since temp supposedly doesn't matter according to Jeff)

That was one thing I ask since here in Ohio its cold and I didn't know if it would be better to wait until spring to do our logs... he said it won't matter.
I dunno.

I've been around, I moved in with my fiancee in Louisville a few months ago. I just lost touch with you guys after whatever happened with the OAC.

John - when are you planning on installing your new AP?
More importantly - what are you going to do with your stock catback?

New exhaust install was going to be early spring...but with seeing Brian doing his install yesterday I may move it forward. Stock catback is going in my basement with all the other parts that I have replaced so far.

If I trade for an exhaust. Would you have a problem with me using your for the week or so during the mutual shipping process?

Don't feel obligated, you don't want me using your stocks parts I completely understand.

seems like a ton of extra work but I can't see a problem with it as long as it comes back in the same shape it left in.

Yeah... it will be... but I've got a few Irons in the fire, but I wanted to ask out here first. I don't know if Jon or Ryan still have their stock systems or not...

The work will be worth it if I get a better exhaust and trade my racing beat and save a couple hundred bucks in the process... but its not crucial.

Its just nice to have the flexibility. And if something somehow did happen to your parts. I would replace it with another stock system or compensate you. (want some used snow tires?) j/k
