Hi everyone. I am a new 8 owner in the STL area. Do you guys have meetings regularly or just on special occasions?

 

I would like to get a meet together. I'm fairly new to this forum myself so maybe some go on that i don't know about?

 

There was a group of us that used to get together every month or two, but it has recently disbanded for the most part. I'd say our best bet is to organize from the ground up.

 

I'm still alive, btw. I have just been bogged down with school quite a bit (which I assume would be the case for Terrets as well; not to mention the whole distance thing at the moment). I've been browsing the threads occasionally; just not able to commit to doing anything right now. Where's Waterlogged? He's been a bit too quiet; next autocross season is coming up... I'm excited and wanting to do a track day once this year. If there is another meet arranged that fits my schedule, I may make an appearance, but I can't promise anything. It's nice to see some new people in the region; a belated welcome to the forums!

STLRX8; sorry to hear about your loss! I can only imagine how hard that was on you.

I have some pics of the exhaust. I took advantage of the warm weather today and pulled it off. It was kinda fun, but a little sad. I really liked this car, especially windows down, sunroof upon...the sound was amazing.

I do believe that Fisherdn meant that YOU will be robbing ME if you purchase it. This is a great CHEAP first mod. I am not looking to make any money off of it. Just want to keep it in STL so when I see you at the track this summer I get to here it again. It sounds really good.

On another note,

I went to autozone today and when I pulled in there were some peeps in the lot. Scions, camaros, trans ams... anyway I got a couple looks, no big deal.

I went in picked up some jack stands so I could take the exhaust off without the car trying to kill me a second time. Get to the register the check out guy says..."6 tons wow...you going to put your NEON on these?" Kinda as though he wanted me to say...."thats not a neon, its an srt-4." I didn't, I just answered no and told him about my 8. He was cool after that. Just kinda funny, especially after fishers comment.

 

I hope nobody here knew anyone affected by the shootings last night in Kirkwood. Terrible story.

 

I want to talk business about the exhaust system you got for sale...

 

^^^ hey STL if USAF doesnt get the exhaust system i am interested, would have to figure out a way to pick it up, as i am in Columbia at the University of Missouri, but i think a weekend home would be fine for an exhaust system!!! just let me know if things fall through with USAF

Hey everyone...i haven't checked this forum in months! but I would love to get together for an rx8 meet/greet. As long as there is no more snow, salt, or water around. My rx8 hasn't come out of the garage in quite a while.
So, post time and place and I'll be there!

 

last weeks frozen rain sucked! I miss the snow but not that stuff.

 

Sadly, ours is in the shop for bodywork. Between the construction truck bumper hitting the right, severe door gouges in the parking lot on the left, and a sign in the road from the front, she was looking ragged form all directions. Bommarito is saying two weeks to fix her sides. I did some low tech fixes to the air dam. Oh to have some metal up front. Ugh.

 

That new exhaust I got from STLRX8 was a good deal... It was good doin business with you...

 

FS: 4 Tires/fit factory rx8 rims.

A set of 4 cooper tires 225-45-18 very good shape bought them for my car but my car is to low(non rx8)... 2 of them have about 90% + and the other 2 have around 80%or so ..... Put it this way theres only about 6-7 thousand miles on them ...... if anybody is interested pm me and we will go from there taking to much room up in the garage and i need to get rid of them ...... Better way to get ahold of me is my cell (618) 604-9839 ......

Want to keep in the STL area to avoid shipping.

 

yeah im interested in them..... how much i live in the STL area and could pick them up!

On a more serious note, I have been quite pre-occupied with school and work, which is what explains my absence here. Once Summer vacation hits, I'll be more into some sort of get-togethers.

For now, though... I *do* want to change my tranny & rear diff. oils sometime soon. :D

 

Sadly I won't be able to make the autocross this coming Sunday. Although the following weekend I'd be up for a garage day. I can host it in Wentzville for those interested. I am needing to do the diff/trans and an oil change. I might also be doing a front shock swap soon, but we'll see about that one.
