Started on my battery re-locate today, got the exhaust heat sheild taken off and mounted the tray. Next on the list is to run the wires and get fuses.



Also, just ordered all my stuff for the relocate. If anyone wants to do this with me let me know. Ill send you a list of the parts to do it. In total everything to move the battery from the front to the trunk cost me about 120.

After this im gonna try and get an aem intake and then work on a tray to clean it all up.

 

Adam, the bhr tray with a polished aem intake would look ****, just sayin.

I am all for the fender rolling but would be cool if you could help haha, I'll rent the tools just need some advice.

 

Yea I think ill probably go polished, if not that ill paint it the same color i did a few other things in my engine bay. As far as the intake tray goes im gonna make something custom.

By the way guys. The first meet is about a month away. Start preparing and don't forget April 7th.

What do you guys want to do as far as food goes? Looks like around 20 people

Well they have bbq's there right? We can just use those and grill some burgers or something.

 

That should be good. Since were meeting at shop n save I can buy some burgers, hot dogs or whatever you guys want me to get.

 

The 8 club guys can all go in for food together or something. Then put bring your own food on the page or something. That would be easier than trying to organize everyone bringing something. We can always meet up at Shop and Save a little early and everyone can throw in a couple bucks. I should have some friends with me that will pitch in too.

 

That will probably work best Cole, so over the next month ill try and get an idea of who all from here is going and we will all just bring something. That will be good.

 

Should I bring my compression tester; or would this not be the best time to do it?

As far as food goes, the typical bbq / park food works fine for me; I'm not picky at all and will gladly chip in.

 

I think it would be good to set up another day for the compression testing mike.

 

Having a garage for the compression test day will probably work better. If we could get into Adam's shop that would probably be sweet but I haven't heard what is going on with that for a while.

 

Never got the shop, the guy pretty much decided hes just gonna keep it. But either way we could just do it at my parents. Theres a big driveway a two car garage and all the tools and stuff we will need.

 

Seems like not everyone will be bringing there rotaries, how open would we be to other mazda(non-rotaries) attending, met a couple people in columbia that i'm sure would like to come.

 

I'm trying to.keep that to a minimum but ive already invited Ryan and i think.brett may join. So i mean its cool

I know there is already this site AND stlrxclub but there are a lot of good knowledgable people on their so I'm just trying to show support, they also have some good sized st.louis meets. I just got them to make a rotary section for rx7's and rx8's and it would be cool if you guys could maybe joined and said whats up?! I posted about the meet and made sure rotaries were sort of the main priority, but other mazdas were ok too.

Just a heads up this site is unmoderated and people aren't afraid to be painfully honest lol, which is why I like it! My car caught some **** by some but liked by others haha.
