Official Chicago/MW Dyno Day
I setup a photobucket account. PM me for the info to post pics. This way all the photos are in one spot and everyone can put comments on them. Make it a little easier to browse them. I am hoping to have most of my pics and vids posted tonite and the dyno scans tomorrow.
Are you sure it's not flashing due to a low RPM limit setup, like 6000 RPM's or something?
Sorry, I'm just now getting around to reading all the posts I missed after not being on the board for 3 days.
I would first like to thank everyone for coming out and making it a wonderful long day. We put 9 cars on the dyno in 9 hours. The cars that didn't have issues all did well. The lunch spread was awesome!!!! I really want to thank everyone for pitching in on that.
Dave and the guys at Performance AutoWerks were super nice and very helpfull. They worked through lunch, gave us access to use the lift, and let us borrow anything we needed. I highly recommend them as a shop to anyone in the Chicago area. I wish we would have been able to get the turbo cars on the dyno but what can I say, we had problems.
The BHR team is great. They really know how to run one of these and get stuff done. While MazdaManiac was flashing, dynoing, and tuning cars Charles R Hill installed a radiator, and front and rear sway bars on wcs's car. Not to mention the 3 compression tests that they ran. All I can say about these guys is that if you ever need ANYTHING talk to BHR!!!
On top of it all we were able to get my car not only running but running pretty well. I would like to get it back on a dyno sometime but that can wait. I only have about 80 miles on the turbo kit and I am running about 7 psi. Let me tell you it really moves tho!!!
I hope everyone had a great time and thanks for coming!

unfortunately I don't think anyone did. I got a bunch of shots of the cars as they were in the parking lot but we never got around to getting them all lined up for a group photo. Check the photobucket account later tonite. I should have most of them posted by then.

Tommy....mine will probably hit the dyno later this week. The wastegate should be here and they will reroute it and also be putting the turbo blanket on it. So, maybe we could dyno both of ours at the same time. It'd be nice too since we're both kind of running a similar setup.
If tommy and louie are dynoing somewhere at the same time I am coming back out of hiding to witness the power.
Tommy, gonna update us with what went on to remedy the situation or is there another thread? I really loved the two turbo setups, look forward to some sexy numbers.

yea...we told him to pose as if he was really doin something so they dont count haha...no but ray is probably one of the hardest working guys there are....i give mad props to him man....lots of respect
When I get a chance I will scan my sheet for the amusement and perusal of everyone. Although the display screen at Werks read 191-197(I am old so I may be blind, too!) on my first "pull" with the usual slight drops in power with subsequent pulls my printout read a peak of 189 all three times.

Ray's 8 sounds really good. I would love to see some numbers when hes spraying.
By the way -- I spent the first 2 hours looking for Charles before I figured out that Ray = Charles. Haha, I need to get on here more often.
