Official Chicago/MW Dyno Day
Guys, I have a little problem. My power steering gave out today for the third time. This time its also making weird noises. Its the third time within the last 3-4k miles. I am taking it to the dealer first thing in the morning since its pretty much undriveable. If I dont get it back at the end of the day unfortunately I will have to back out out of the dyno. However since I am backing out at the last minute and there is no replacements I would like to pay what I am due. I could paypal someone the money so they can bring it with them to the dyno, tdiddy let me know what I should do. Sorry for the trouble guys
Dyno Cost = $600 for the day. We have the dyno from 9am until 6pm CST but we will be taking an hour off for lunch.
MM tuning Costs = $650 to get him here. We will divide this by the number of people who want him to tune their car and that will be how much you owe for getting him here. If you bought your AP from Jeff the tuning is included. (Its your happy ending as Jeff puts it) If you have an AccessPORT that you bought from someone else, an Interceptor-X, or an eManage Ultimate its $100 extra for the tuning. I have talked to other tuners about their prices and this is super cheap!!!

why are the ones getting a tune with the ap charged an extra $100 bucks? I thought the tune was free if you had purchased the ap from MM and if you didn't have the ap then the tune was an extra $$?
A dyno tune is normally $300.
For this event, I wanted to come out for a lot less just to get to meet up with people.
I only needed my costs to be covered.
You didn't expect me to fly all the way to Chicago on my own dime, did you?

And I worked it out where my friend and I can be there before 9 am with a lot more sleep. So no worries about the sharpie shaming if I ever feel asleep!
P.S. MM, you had mentioned before that if I picked up the ap in chicago you'd kick back $15 on the shipping charge since its hand delivered. That offer still good? That coming back via your checkout program or in person on sat?
You need a trunk-monkey.

No, I don't expect anyone to do this for free. It was just the impression I got from the original post. $150 is still a lot cheaper than anything I can find locally, much less even just dyno time. I'm still in for this. Hell I'm blowing nearly $200 on gas just for the trip! Whats an extra $150???

Your PS torque sensor harness is FUBAR. 99% certain.
Just takes 10 minutes with a soldering iron to fix it.
The "hard" part is removing your air box.
My flight to Chicago is delayed because of all the wind you are having there in Chicago. I' just sitting here in Phoenix. Waiting.

I belive thats what the dealership did the last time. They mentioned re-soldering something, and something to do with the connectors (harness??) as well. Could it have gone bad again? The first time they replaced some power steering module
