Just Finalized a purchase agreement for a 2004 Brilliant Black 8, I'll get it once I come up to Minnesota after my training tour for the Minneapolis Air Force Reserve.
Any other Military MN 8 owners out there?

Hey whats up guys,

I've been on this website a ton lately and havent posted till now. I'am getting out of the army next spring and will be back in MN. Lookin for a Rotary club to join up with and have some fun. I got my 04 8, ive just lately been working on it in the past year while ive been in Iraq. I got the M-1 speed kit, Seibon vented hood, K&N air filter, drilled slotted rotors, Tein S springs, greddy exhaust plus other random stuff and also 18" DriftZ rims that im looking to replace with 19" rims next spring. I'am still in Iraq but am gonna be busy next spring getting all this stuff placed on.

But if anyone knows of any spots to hit up when I'm back home, let me know. Thanks!

Sweet!

When do you get back?? I started out in the Army, long story, now I am a crew chief on the C-130. When do you get back? I'll be back in MN this October!
PM, maybe we can chill, go on a nice drive up to Duluth and Superior Shore in our 8's. The road get very scenic once you get north of Duluth...I would recommend it more in the Fall though, early to mid September.

I wont be back in the states until December, Then I should be out of the Army around March. I got a lot of family up in Duluth, my family has a cabin that is about a hour north of Virginia. So I know all about up north, love it up in that area. One day I wanna take a road trip up to Thunder Bay, I always thought that would be fun.

But, I gotta lot of work to do next spring to get the car completed. So I gotta get all that taken care of first.

What did you replace the 8 with?

Also, did you sell the AP? Do you have a price in mind for the wheels? I am looking for winter replacement wheels if anyone has a set that will fit the sport brake setup.

Integras are reliable. My second son is an Acura engineer, engine dept..he has one.
Speaking of cars, has anyone here been with the MN group that used to do the Wisconsin river road Sunday "spirited driving" day cruise? We used to run the cars ( Evo's, STi's, Acuras, Stealths TT's, 300 Z TT's, a few BMWs) well into early November if there was no snow, for about 125 miles of all country rarely traveled roads. The trip was preplanned out, everyone of the 10 or so drivers had a RF radio and one car was the lead pacer with a good 1/2 mile distance ahead to notify of farm trucks pulling out from fields, etc. The trip would go up into the hills near Pepin. if anyone knows of this, can you send me a link as I lost their email after moving west of the cities.

nothing is inexpensive. about $750 for pirellis from tire rack and then you need to find an installer or $888 from tires plus for blizzaks. that is if you stick with the stock 225/45R18 tire size. if you want to move to 17in rims discount tire will do them with blizzaks and with rims for $1350. otherwise you gotta find used or miracle,

heard 16in works? but that may look way too weird and slug you down a bit... and way too close for comfort on the front brakes. waaaaay cheaper though!

TireRack has a better price for snows and rims. I ordered mine Monday and they arrive today. price was about $980.00 ( approximately) with shipping charges of $100 included in that..New wheels 17x7 perfect for winter/snow and four mounted Blizzaks WS60, the newest version, were still recommended over the more expensive Michelin Xice Xi0. I ran the first edition of Blizzaks in the winters from 1992 through 1997, they wore well and never got stuck in a light weight S-10 GMC compact truck! Blizzaks rocked on ice as well.
It looks like Tire Rack still does better than Discount Tires and nothing beats getting the wheels and tires as a package ready to bolt on. Ask for Cooper at TireRack to do the deal.
