some of you should have come last weekend. a group of us mazda enthusiasts had a road race up to mall of america where we were met with a fairly large group of minnesotans. it was mostly proteges but i was lonely being the only rx-8 there.

Speedrx8er, after looking at your turbo configuration, I was curious what you were going to do.
Is there a way you can reuse the old airbox cover and adapt it (or the intake pipe) to fit better in the stock location?
I'm also curious if the stock airbox intake has enough air coming into it for your turbo, assuming you did find a way to reseal it shut.

I am pretty sure it will not fit. Unless I chop it up. like you, I am not sure if I use the stock air box if it'll get enough air. How ever there is a stock air tube the lets air in from the outside.

BTW I found the guy who originally ordered my car (happens to be a memory of rx8club.. or was)
He said that most of the apperance stuff on my car was put on AFTER he sold it back to Mazda.. so either the Leasee dealer or the Leasee themselves are the ones who added the side aero flares, the b-pillar stuff and the oiler cooler screens.
Now if only I could find the guy who leased it to ask what all they did to it.

ha! I'm pretty sure it was done professionally.. (or the guy was really good).. All of the accessories look very well installed.. to the point I didn't even realize they were accessories... (especially the B-Pillar covers)

sounds crazy but a for a real sleeper you've got to mount it inside an airvent or...
take apart stock gauges and replace one of the electronics with the boost gauge...using the stock needle
