Also I think the engine would explode past about 6k rpms..

 

One of us could pick you up. It is really weird riding in the passenger seat. Slide around more than the drivers seat and there is the rush of no control.

 

Noon would be tough - I'll be busy till about 11:45. 12:30? We could start BBQ'ing right away and then take off immediately following so drive from 1:30 to whenever. I live in Shoreview so Still water is about 30min away.

I was in Maple grove around where Sharper Image is not last Saturday but the previous one. Same night I hosted the last BBQ
But mine is an '04 Silver.

Did it have dealer plates?


That would work better for me since I have Saturday off. Still have to work at 4PM but will be plenty rested.

 

yeah she had dealer plates. I'm thinking they might live in maple grove or close cause I saw them twice over the weekend. (I live in plymouth work in maple grove) Im the one allways parked at Best Buy : )

I keep forgetting to ask you guys if there is anyone that is good at tuning Rotary's up there? I know my car would be alot faster if someone with some tuning knowledge hooked my car up...I tried messing with the E-Manage Tool and I'm just dumb when it comes to that stuff....Mazda Maniac's fuel map is on now which made a hell of a difference but I think it could be tuned even more!
I want that bigger turbo upgrade and Interceptor-X!!!
Are we ever happy with what we got?
Sometimes I have to put the car in the garage for a week and drive the CRX so I can remember how fast the car is

 

No tuning shop I know of I think your best bet is contacting the Northstar Rotary Rockets club as there are some experienced DIY tuners in that group (including 2 owners with 3Rotored RX7s WOW!, I've got pics at home).

I would hold off on the Interceptor because there is a new system coming out that will reflash the ECU, when that happens inconjunction with a turbo upgrade (more flow at higher rpms) your're system will start kicking *** , best part is the new ECU flasher will cost FAR less than the interceptor.

 

Turbo or the management system?

Turbo, I don't recall the name but. There is a ball bearings turbo what will work with the Greddy manifold. It should spool up faster and eliminate the oil line.

mangement system:
just the intercepter
and megasquirt(in the works)

 

don't know of a rotay tuning shop.

bigger will fit but you can't go to big and you'll have to custom the manifold = $$

hehee NOPE never happy with what we got once you get use to speed.

I was at one the other day over in Coon Rapids with Alcimedes. Only 4 miles from my house, that is why I have been seeing more 7s lately. They mainly work on FDs but they may be able to tune the 8.

The shop is attached to the guys house they have all the tools necessary for working on rotaries. Been doing it for quite a while.

Was in awe when we arrived, very nice FD in the street, then when we stepped into the garage I think I heard angels sing, three more FDs in there, heavily modded. Very nice.

They are members of the Northstar Rotary Rockets too.

My check engine started flashing last night around 140MPH?
