Ugh, I flooded my car..

I knew better.. but yet I was in a hurry and moved the car from my driveway into the garage and shut it down... now two days later it won't start! UGH.

Anyone ever deflooded their own car? Right now I'm looking at attempting the oil based deflood procedure from the TSB.... and if that doesn't work having it towed to the dealer.. UGH. (Whats worse is I knew better then to move and turn it off.. but I did it anyway..)

Speed.. I already tried the WOT to clear the flood, but it still won't fire. I suspect there is a loss of compression due to the fuel cleaning out the engine.

In regards to the tires... Are the m+s the all season ones? I am looking at the Pirreli Pzero Neros in the spring.. Or Bridgestone 050's.. Still have a few months to decide....

Speed I considered the washer fluid trick.. but I've seen what washer fluid does to aluminum.. so I'm VERY hesitant to do that. (Almost instant corrosion)

Well whenever there is a dark clound, there is usually a siver lining...

Found out I have "Mazda Road Side Assistance" today! Woot!

Getting towed to the dealer for free.. hopefully the deflooding will be warranty work as well.. (and getting the final oil change of the season.. I think I'm going to park it next week)

I called roadside and happened to get a guy whose ex girlfriend had an RX7 after 30 minutes he started the thing

expect your stock battery to be shot or on its last days after deflooding it

good time to spring for an Yellow or Red top Optima size 34

I never let my battery run completely down.. when it started getting low, I immediatly hooked up the charger. I wasn't going to ruin the battery if I could help it.

Well, cars at the dealers for a deflood + oil change.. We'll see what happens when they call.

Next drive

Anyone thinking about an upcoming drive? Preferably before the winter tires go on.

Is there any date prior to that which will work for people - even something lowkey (like drive somewhere and grab dinner).

A night drive wouldn't be as much fun obviously. I'd be willing host another BBQ - at least we'd get a chance to hang out and talk about mods. Then we could go for a short run out to Stillwater and back? Would anyone be up for that this Sunday afternoon? Say 1pm BBQ 2:30 - 5:00 drive?

I'd love to join in, but I suspect it's getting too late in the year. I know my car is one battery charge/stabil pour away from storage right now.
