MINNESOTAns where are you?
#2602
I'd be interested in a mini-meet.
Also, I'm planning a a drive with the group I used to run with.
About 200 miles of spirited driving through the Wisconsin alphabet roads. Ending with a late lunch. This is not a race in anyway, speeds will be suitable for any car, and I will wait for slower drivers. It's a good time...
Anyway on the 24th, meet at 10am at the Walgreens in Hastings. Should be back in the cities by around 4.
1017 Vermillion Street
Hastings, MN 55033
Come gassed up, oiled up and ready to go...
OK, that sounded dirty. Just show up, and it'll be fun

hey guys! I am going to be doing a NOS install on my 8 as soon as I get my BHR Spacer, hopefully they ship by next month. I already have the kit. Anyone have any experience with NOS and/or want to help with the install? I'm going to be doing it at my house in Wayzata (western MPLS suburbs). It could be a fun afternoon.

I can help install if you need it...do you have all the tools? I work on aircraft, I DO have mechanical experience.
PM me if you need the help!
ALSO...Who is in for a Duluth drive MID October? On a weekend...PM me if you are game!

cool. I have been in contact with the BHR guys about safely running nos. I am going to be using 55hp nozzles so it should be plenty safe. I will definitely need help with the install. I have everything I need except the BHR spacer which is on backorder for 3-4 weeks. I am thinking of possibly hooking up everything without the spacer and just zipptieing the nos line that goes to the spacer back until I receive it. help be much apprecieted, I have to look at my work schedule and see some possible times that we could do it. It shouldn't take more than a full day to do. and thanks for the PM's! And I might be able to do the Duluth drive, my best friend lives up there so an excuse to go up there is always good!

Whats up guys, I finally registered after lurking here for almost two years heh. I met a few of you at the last meet and it was a good time. I would be down for the drive in oct if you have a date so I can start planning it. Look forward to meeting you guys again and getting info on the cars.
I dont remember the names of the two of you who I saw at the drive in movie. Sent me a message to remind me plz. I thought instead of a drive we could do a drive in movie as well and all line up for the movies.

You can buy a kit that allows you to do it yourself.

Oct Meet Planning Session
I think it would be prudent to have a meeting somewhere with large tables (Moosecountry) so we can pull out maps, laptops and calendars for the October Duluth drive. I can not do all of it on my own, and I do not want to just pick a route on my own and have everyone else sour that they didn't have a say in their route(s). Anywho, I would like to have one NEXT Saturday (Aug 28th) at around 4PM? MooseCountry Cafe (Take 35E to hwy 13, Go NORTH on Highway 13 and it will be on your left.
Any Questions PM me or E-mail me thompsolonian@gmail.com
I will give my Phone # out in PM's or E-mails, NOT on the site.
Chris
Would be a good excuse to to go on a little drive (before drinking of course) and show off our Rx-8's
I may have a New buddy with a sweet Miata showing up too, Right hand drive Turbo!

Just FYI I created a new thread in the MW forum Titled "The October Duluth Run" That way we have a fresh start AND can be specific about meetings and the Meet itself.

Ever since I traded in my 2009 Mazda Rx-8 I have missed it. A lot. I am excited to say I picked up a sunlight silver 2004 for my daily driver and love it!! Sadly the previous owner destroyed the tranny and it was slipping pretty bad. I have had it in the shop and just got it back this morning and it drives wonderful!! Anyway glad to be back!!

Congrats! I think I would miss mine too. Unique car that handles great, has enough room for my 3 kids. Newer and better handling than the E36 M3 I sold when I moved to the 8. If it had reliability, it would even recommend it to friends!
How many miles on yours? Did the price cover for the transmission issue?

The price covered a lot of it actually so I didn't feel as guilty. Im at about 70 thousand miles so not good not too bad. I actually had a spare set of tires too from my last 8 that I never got rid of so I slapped those on and now with a new tranny, new clutch and new tires I feel pretty good about it.

Hey guys, I have some 25 mm eibach spacers for sale. On a stock suspension 8 they make your wheels look flush with the fender, on a lowered 8 you will probably need to roll the fenders. I live in Wayzata and work in Apple Valley so I can drop them off in most of the metro area or can meet up with you somewhere. I'm asking $150 or best offer, also they are brand new, like never been installed new!
