welcome to the addiction charz. window tinting in michigan can be limo for rear doors and rear window. 35% on side windows with only the first 8" being tintable. but do what I did. goto doctor complaining of bright lights and such bothering you causing migraines. request a note for tinted windows and throw a copy in your glovebox. I have done so and only once was it challenged by the cops when pulled over for tint. I fought it and the judge sided with me and the doctor's note being sufficient for the tint.

 

Or you could just stay legal, but that's wicked light... I think legal is like 30-35% or something like that. I personally have 5% all around with about a 10" banner in front... I haven't gotten hassled yet, but I do have outta state plates and such. Don't quote me, but you'd probably be safe with 20% all around.

 

actually, caveney is somewhat correct. we are not allowed to have full window tint on the front windows, regardless of the percentage. the most we are allowed is 4" from the top, which of course looks stupid. also, a note from a doctor might help, but legally you are supposed to take that note to the SOS and have them put tinted windows as a special restriction on your drivers license. of course, the downside of this is, if you get pulled over in a car with no tint, you can get a ticket for it.

i personally have 50% on the front windows, and have yet to get pulled over for it.

I FINALLY TALKED AND SAW SOMEONE WITH A WHITEWATER PEARL RX8... WOO GO ME, haha.

Saw the lady was showing off her 8 to some of her friends when I pulled up. I talked to her and found out she bought her car in Maryland (where I bought mine)... strange I say. Oh well, it made my night that I actually saw someone with a whitewater pearl rx8... first one I've seen since I bought it 3.5 months ago, haha.

 

Well I just got done

a. cleaning my wheels
b. tire shining my tires
c. waxing the entire car

geeez now it's time for a nap. Uh and I totally need to wax more often... it's sooo soo pearl like that I couldn't stop staring at it for a good 30 minutes while I ate my bowl of rice...

They recently had a seat belt enforcement zone by my apartment. I was surprised to see how many people don't wear a seat belt.

I got to see Kors-Jan (Chuck) yesterday. I'm standing in my driveway when he pulls into my new neighbor's drive. (What a coincidence!) Small world, eh?

I didn't represent the RX's well. The 350Z roadster was in the driveway and the RX was parked on the street. LOL. (I was loading crap into the Jeep. Otherwise the RX is never on the street. LOL)

 

Do you still have a converter on your 8? Your substrate may have melted and broken up thus pieces are blowing out.

What other mods do you have? I know I shoot flames out but sparkles doesn't sound good. It might chunks of metal coming out. Could it be your seals? I guess the right person to ask would be CRH.

 

BTW did anyone go to the Woodward cruise? If so, there is a 28th street metro cruise here in Grand Rapids on Saturday 8-24-2008. I know of many West Michigan rotary owners are going to being meeting up prior to the cruise.

Had the pleasure of coasting down I-95 through CT with my baby's twin on Friday the 29th. First whitewater pearl GT 8 I have seen. Michigan tags, gunmetal gray rims, clear corners.
