The Sacred Cows were a part of an episode of "Get Smart". In that episode, a KAOS agent called the Groovie DJ had a TV show which would hipnotise the watcher causing them to dance. Smart stopped the Groovie DJ just before he programmed his watchers with the song Kill, Kill, Kill (full lyrics are available elsewere on the web, but don't bother looking them up because the writers spent about 30 sec. thinking them up).

new shoes

installed the new wheels tonight. These are the SSRs GT2 (16.8 lbs each) that I bought for track/summer tires.

the car seems to accelerate and stop quicker than before. Can't wait to get it to the track. 12 days and counting...

If anyone ever needs tires mounted and balanced, I know someone who will do it for $50. He can also get you tires at wholesale from Tirerack but you will have to pay tax on them if he buys it.

The guy that did my wheels also has a body shop. He just finished debadging a black RX-8 including welding over the rivet holes and repainting. Car looks pretty clean without all the badges. Sorry, no pics of the debadged car. I met the owner of the car and told him about this place. Hopefully he finds it. Nice guy.

Here's some quick pics of the wheels:

They are on closeout at Tirerack for $339 each, but through my friend I was able to get them for about $315 each (289 + 8.75% tax). so about 1260 + $55 to have them shipped so just over $1300 for all four wheels. Sounds pricey but these rims are usually over $500 each...

Also received new lugs (more weight savings) and a special socket for the new lugs.

Thanks for the nice comments everybody.

Seriously. We only have room for one psycho at every meet, and I'm guessing BlueRen will be attending. :p

good to see everyone again. nice to meet you Josche.

I was pwned by construction on the way home. They shut down I-94 to one lane and I didn't get home until 12:30 or so.
