Guys, I've got a problem with some of this. I have tried to be a voice in getting all the Chicago rotory cars together. I was working tward this over on RX7club before we started our gatherings. I would be dissappointed if the group name had an 8 in it. This would make our 7 brothers seem like second class citizens and not welcome. I thought the name that they were using was good (Rotory Car Club of Chicago). I would like for all of you to consider this.

I'm sure if they wanted to be called "RX7 Club of Chicago" they would have, personally I don't think they would feel as if they were second class citizens. However I do see your point, but I don't believe we need to bend over backwards to come up with a group name. Remember AL you can PM Red your idea and soon enough we should all be able to make a vote on it. :D

 

Racewar, I like the designs but I'm not sure if I like "Chicagoland"...sounds too happy to me...

From reading threads on RX-7 club, it doesn't seem like the RX-7 guys have an interest in associating with RX-8 drivers. Many of them seem to look down on RX-8 drivers and only care that their cars are faster in a straight line. Also, they let Rotary Club of Chicago die due to lack of interest so what makes you think they want want to be a part of our club?
You should push them all to join JGTCA.com or something and if they want to be part of a club, they can hit up their meets.

I made a few posts on RX-7 club to gauge their interest. I also sent Christian another PM. Let see how the RX-7 community responds...
