Haha, you nailed it. And also being married.

Hope the wifey doesn't see this post..

I love white! My bday is coming up so I am asking for the AP exhaust and AP pulley.

Any news at work about my app?

As for the chrome bits on your car Atredeus, I agree on a all black car you need something to add some contrast. With my silver, I need more black. I have winter wheels I picked up from a friend and they're dark gray/black. Might break up some of the silver on my car.
Had that happen to me in my G35 coupe. I was by Tri County mall coming back from Chipolte and the cop saw me on the main very busy road right in front of Lowes and pulls a u-turn and follows me to GameStop. He gets out and puts that light meter on my window and then writes me up for not having a front license plate and dark windows. $150 later..still a little bitter about it.

I'm still waiting for some law enforcement agency to pull me over for no front plate. Maineville's finest set up shop catching people going 30 in a 25 quite often.

I've only been pulled over for no front plate once in the last 9 years down here.

It was about a week after getting rid of the 30 day tags and getting plates on the 8. Sheriff in Anderson actually. Let me off with a warning after i showed him that there was no where to put. Haven't been bothered about it since.

I've thought about tint, but i've just never been a fan of it personally. Sometimes it does look better, but it doesn't add power, grip, or make the car loose weight. I can do without.

I like the factory spoiler. The GTO one looks pretty decent as well. I'm really a fan of some of the simple lip spoilers though. I'd go that route most likely is i had a spoilerless deck lid.

Old thread, but i like the look. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/trunk-lip-spoiler-not-r-magic-oem-ings-etc-186834/

Every time I've had to drill holes in one of my cars it hasn't been easy, no matter what it was for. I would say go ahead with one of the rear spoilers though, the 8 looks unfinished IMHO without something back there.

I say get a trunk lip spoiler and MS side skirts. Car will look amazing. Also if you can, go get a front lip..maybe the Burnout lip. CF all the way!

On the S2, I'm not sure the factory lip spoiler is drilled. Could be taped. I need to check it out once I get home.

just chiming In....

I've been so crazy busy recently, and don't have much energy once I get back home..

One project working on currently; black emblems...
I'm still working on it, and don't know how well it will turn out.
paint should dry tomorrow, so I will be test fitting it tomorrow.
hope it'll turn out alright..

with the black rims, hope it'll match with my Ti Gray...

Black emblems completed.
drying takes time, so it took me entire week to complete, but actual work time is very minimal

Thought about removing RX-8, but looked kind of out of balance without it...

Grrrr....my rear rotor accent emblem came up "missing" this weekend...I somehow doubt it just fell out either. I swear...probably the same a-hole who helped themselves to my rotor valve stem covers a few months back. I am now not picture ready Think I need a first gen for a daily driver so I can keep Lucy locked under key and use her for fun drives only before she is completely stripped of her beauty!

How about buying an R3 and using that one for your daily driver? Sweeney still has a couple.

Anyone going to the SLT in Dayton this weekend? I'm still debating if I want to go or not.

I will be up in Mid Ohio this weekend. leaving here around noon to 1:00.
If you see gray 8 with black rims it might be me..

I'm interested in rolling fender.
I won't be available on Sunday, but if you do it on Saturday, you are welcome to use my place.
so anyone know (meaning have done) this?

1. BBRX8
2. Tacti (only avail on Saturday, and welcome to use my garage. I'll get my grill out again!)
3.

Have fun at Mid-Ohio folks...wish I could go see the Dempsey Racing Team or even go to SLT this year to defend my tiara, lol. Too much dang homework...I should have chosen stay at home child bearer instead of continual college engineering student perhaps. Fender rolling party sounds like a blast but Lucy would look silly w/o a plan for lowering to go along with it I suspect. About how much is it to lower her I wonder in an economical yet classy way? Ah to dream...I eat top ramen and drink water, can't even afford to replace my missing rotor emblem, lowering, HA! I need to put my meager chemical engineering skilz to work in my basement to make $$$...meth anyone?

I'll be heading to columbus on friday evening and Mid O early Saturday Morning. See you there Tact!

I don't currently need my fenders rolled, but i might do it just because i can. I may have to work on the 24th, but maybe i can catch up to you guys in the afternoon.

Redsun: Going to Mid O, so i won't be at slt. Had a decent turnout of cars last year, but Grand Am is far more interesting that drifting and dragging to me. I know there will be a decent turnout of rotorheads if you do go, so you won't be alone

SLT seems pretty fun, but it always seems that I have something else to do instead. I'm with Kevin I prefer road racing to drift any day, so I'll be seeing you and Tact Saturday morning at Mid-Ohio.

I am not sure where to get one locally, otherwise I would go that route. The wife has agreed to buy me Koni's for my birthday, so I really need to do this!
we can meet up any place. fuel would be fine with me or meet at my house either way.
I don't have any experience, so all I can provide is place and food.

anyhow, your wife needs to talk to my wife, and tell her that buying car staff is good thing.. lol

Has anyone seafoamed their cars? I know Steve and I did it 2-3 years ago and I cant remember which vacuum hose we used. I have read about disconnecting the ESPS sensor and all that ****, but I do not feel like doing all that. Anyone have a vacuum hose that they use that will still get the job done safe and right? Provide a pic of the engine bay along with the vacuum hose highlighted.

Thanks!

Hello, I'm new to rx8club but i'm on the east side of cincy. I'll be at SLT in the blueish green 8. I had a Mazdaspeed Protege before going roto. Look foward to meeting some of you. I'll try to make it to Fuel sometime.
