Anyone want to get together this weekend? We can meet up somewhere and get something to eat possibly, shoot the **** and get re-acquainted.

Hey tacti, did you get your short shifter yet?
My pile of parts is still growing. Told my wife the other day I might be spending three days just on her car (it won't be) and she said no, I had to spend time with her. Can't imagine why! I did tell her she could always come out to the garage and help.

I have tried that already, and didn't work out...
I haven't gotten shifter yet, but hopefully sometime this week, and can install coming weekend.
also I'm planning on changing tranny/diff fluid at the same time.
I ordered redline online for this time, but does anyone know where I can find them locally?
this weekend, i have hard wired my radar detector, and also made the fog lights independent.
I love this forums' DIY!
so easy to find one, and very easy to follow.

I ordered my redline fluids from Summit since it's in northeast ohio. Ground shipping from them was cheap and it still came the next day since it's so close. Redline doesn't have any distributers in the area really. There is one place listed on their site (Continental or something like that) is just a couple guys selling cheap **** out of a truck for the most part, so I didn't even bother getting in touch with them.

I ended up ordered from finishlineperformance.com (found it was the cheapest around)
got all the things I need, and gonna do fluid change / ipod adaptor install this weekend.
I still need to find a pump or funnel to put new fluid in, but that shouldn't be hard to find.
I also got a short shifter installed yesterday, and it is short!
haven't driven much yet, but so far, I'm loving it.

Harbor Freight carries some nice inexpensive pumps that work well for putting fluids in (I bought two when I did my Speed6). You can find a store close to you on their website (harborfreight.com I believe). I'm lucky, there's one less than 10 miles from my house.

I've done fluid change, and everything is great.
however, I really regret that I didn't get a pumps...
took me forever good 30min ~ 1 hour just waiting for the oil to drip through the funnel....
I'll go check harbor freight before i do it next time....

If you want, I could pick up a couple and bring them to Fuel some time after I get home. That goes for anyone who might want something from there, since I live close it isn't a big deal.

I've been having quite a few visitors to our house and haven't have any free weekend...
and probably this coming one is not looking that good neither.

I just did my fluid change a couple weeks ago and used a cheap pump from pepboys. It worked well, but was pretty much ruined after running the diff oil through it. No since in trying to clean out a $4 pump if you ask me.
So when do you finally come home chief? Fuel has gotten huge this year. Usually the parking lot is overflowing now.

Hoping no later than the beginning of July. Our schedule gets changed a lot. In any case I have a Lady Gaga concert to attend in mid-July so have to make it for that (my wife as I know the question will be asked).

Won't be pushing that envelope with my wife right next to me (she has wicked radar for things like that). Also I don't relish getting slapped and called a dirty old man by whichever person I might be ogling.

Hey guys, just thought I'd introduce myself. I just bought an 8 and took delivery of it today. I bought it off a guy up in Columbus. I go to school at Ohio State so I'm there most of the year, but I'm back occasionally on weekends and would be interested in meeting some fellow 8 owners from the area. Hope to see you guys around.
