Holy hot damn its been awhile..So when's the next meet??? I picked up a different ride a couple months ago (5th car in 3 years...) 2002 Audi S4. Be lyin if I said I didn't miss the 8 tho!

Anyone else got a newly greened 8? I washed mine over the weekend and it already looks like garbage courtesy of all the pollen out there.

Looking forward to putting my summer wheels on this weekend. Was going to do it Monday or yesterday but my allergies have been out of control. Hopefully they've died down a bit soon.

im driving to St. Louis this saturday after fuel to pick up a new set of wheels.

Nice B5 nkyspdemon. I plan to get a few autocrosses in this year, but my goal is to get some track time in. I'm in DC until mid next week and and have to work the following weekend, so I won't be around for a little while for a meet. I'm stuck driving a 4cyl fusion as a rental out here to boot. I miss my car.

 

You know I'll be there. But if the Cincy schedule stays the way it is now I'm probably going to end up racing in the Western Ohio region mostly for the first part of the season because I really don't like the venue at Turfway. But I'll definitely try to make it out to the Riverdowns events or if they change some of the Turfway events like they have been talking about. Knowing me I'll probably end up at a couple of the Turfway events anyway, just 'cause I'm turning into an autox junkie, lol!

oil injectors as in 2 of the 4 blew directly out of the housing

Sounds good to me. I've been itching to go for a cruise. Just pick a time and date. Sundays generally work best for me.

 

There is actually a c.s.s. Meet tonight at 9 at best buy in tricounty. I go every thursday.

Also sunday is a huge HUGE meet and cruise. Called the lube and ***** poker run. its an all day cruise/ fundraiser for a fellow car enthusiast who wrecked his car and can't afford a handicap van. 20$ gets you in. There will be a magazine or 2 there and we might be getting on tv. Pm me if anyone wants more details.

 

Since no one probably checks the NE thread, go here. Should make for an awesome meet. $30 for 3 runs on a dyno is hard to beat even if you're stock. They've been known to have some pretty nice meets in the past. I'm going unless something drastic changes in my life on that weekend.

 

So more detail have surfaced. RX7store.net meet is confirmed for 7/17/10. Should be a good turnout. $65 for 3 runs on the dyno, so a little more expensive than originally thought, but still pretty cheap. I am definitely going unless something big comes up for that weekend.

it's my first time owning stick shift, and still practicing.

no plan on mods so far, but maybe swaybars, and intake down the road.

Welcome. This place has been pretty dead, I have to get home and see what I can do to liven things up!

If all goes well I'm about a month away. Going to pick up a few more things for the 8 before I get home so I'll be busy installing stuff on it and the Speed. I will definitely be ready for some sort of drive, just have to see if the wife will let me drag her along (I would look silly driving the car with the plate she has. Not that I care much!).

 

Welcome Tact! Things have been dead on the board lately, but we're still around. Luckygirl can usually be found at an autocross, Chief on a boat, and kwikslvr (also ti grey), his buddy and myself at Fuel on Saturday mornings.

What part of town are you in? How's learning stick going fo you?

I'm in Oxford, like 30 min northwest of cincinnati.
My friend in Michigan who has RX-8 told me about this forum, and also he is the one push me toward getting RX-8. (Originally I was thinking of getting Miata...)

I'm still learning how to drive stick, but I guess I'm getting better.
(It's hard when no-one around who can teach me how to drive stick... My greatest teacher of all is Dr. Google ^^; )
hope I'll be good enough to go for a drive when the time comes.

Autocross is something I want to try once learn more.
My previous ride was Toyota Solara, and I had modded quite a bit.
I went to autocrossing couple years ago once, but then i got some suspension issues and that was the only time I could run.. (I even bought helmets, but never got to use it....)

I'm subscribing to this thread, so if there's any meet, I'm all up for it!

Well, since what I work on can't be carried by another vessel, and travels on top of the water, it's a ship! Not to mention it's hard putting 40,000 shaft horsepower into a boat.

Oh, and you would be jealous of more than my torque with the Speed. If I could only drop about 6-700 pounds...Of course the wife would be upset if I lost her heated seat!

If nothing else I'll make it to Fuel when I get home. Probably will be able to talk the wife into it as well since she likes specialty coffees.

Weather looks good for this weekend. Anyone who hasn't gone to Fuel, should. The turnout last weekend was awesome. I'm guessing the weekend will be just as good if not better. Kwikslvr can attest to that. I've got a high end HD cam that i'm trying to learn to help out a friend, so i'll probably take it saturday.

Tact, It's a bit of a haul for you since it's just east of downtown, but it doesn't get much better as far as car meets go, at least not in this area.

 

maybe a stupid question.
is the "Fuel" some kind of restaurant or something?
I don't mind driving down to east side of the town.
I have a funeral I gotta attend on saturday, but other than that, I'm pretty much free.
if anyone could let me know where the fuel is, and more detail about the meet, i would love to drive down.
