I live on the north side of Cincy and just purchased a 2005 RX8. I love this car!!! So when and where are you planning your next meet? I would like to meet more people around here that are having as much fun with this car as I am!

 

hey congrats on the new car! where did you buy it from?

 

I bought it from a dealer in Oxford Ohio, I traded in my Chevy Z71 for it, It's my new......I just got a divorce car!!!! lmao it has some exterior goodies done to it, but i'm more interested in more horse power! The intake was done when i bought it, and the exhaust is comming late next week, after that the engine managment system, and I hope to do more after that.
So I see the event planed for june 5th at dave and busters I sure plan to be there, but if you guys are going to meet up before then let me know, I would like to get to know some more aerea fans!!

 

Hey guys, I know the last meet and cruise (and decarbon) schedule got all hinky due to the weather.

I'm looking for someone to help me Seafoam my 8. I want to do it the first time with someone who has experience with it before, just to make sure I don't do anything wrong. If anyone is willing to help out, I would really appreciate it. I would be more than happy to bring a 2nd can of Seafoam so that you could do a cleaning as well. Or, if you'd prefer, I'd also be willing to bring a cold 6-pack along instead (assuming you're 21, of course). I'd also be willing to travel to you, since I am the one who needs the assist.

And, it'd be nice to get to know someone (or someones) from the forum, so maybe we can help each other out in the future. If you're interested, please shoot me a PM or respond. Thanks!

 

As some of you may know..I sold my 8 last week and got a new car. Its a 2005 G35 coupe fully loaded with only 20,000 miles on it. I seriously couldnt be happier!! I cant wait till I start modding! I already have a bunch of things in mind that I want to do.

When is the next meet?

 

How much did you get for it? if you dont mind me asking.

I got the car for $20,500. I pretty much got a steal on the car. I love it!! Power is amazing!!

I ended up getting $15,000 for my car. I couldnt be happier right now! I miss the 8 but that feeling is getting more and more distant right now. Damn I love the power of the G!

Moete, congrats on the G - what year is it if you don't mind me asking? I looked at them before I bought my 8, but I couldn't justify the expense of them.

YeahYeah: Its a 2005 with only 20,000 miles on the clock. The car looks pretty much brand new! I am looking at putting in some leds, tint and an HKS full duel header back exhaust here shortly.

 

I forgot the ask the most important question: what color?

2005 with only 20k miles is nice - when I bought my 8 in September of 2007, it was (and I guess is still) an '04 with only 16.3k (now 42).

 

The color is diamond graphite with the stock 19inch wheels and a 6 speed.

I just installed an exhaust on my 8, I ordered the resonated mid pipe to eliminate the cat. It was a little louder than I liked, so I had the factory mid pipe reinstalled. I had the Pipe shipped to me for $430. if a local guy or gal is interested in this piece I will make you a great deal on it. You will need to get a MIL eliminator f
or the post cat exhaust sensor as I returned the one I purchased for it, its $50 buy it now on ebay.
By the way I am a noob to the RX8 world, I have only had the car a month. Can someone explain this decarbon thing please? My car has 33k on it, do I need to do this??

Living in Miami and being from Cincy I have to drive 50 miles to get to a Skyline. Two stores in Broward, none in Miami.
