Okay so we really need to have a meet. I'll start by throwing out some dates and you guys tell me what you think. How about August Sat 22nd or Sun. 23rd? I was thinking we'd just meet up at Devu park again, but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to share.

That day was amazing.

i couldnt run that day due to some shitty *** kuhmo tires to make it through the rainy times.

Each of the 3 RX8's that ran did an amazing job, i was stoked.

It was hottttt, i am sunburnt, still.

Sounds good to me. Sunday the 23rd, 3:00pm at Devou Park in the same lot as always. I'll post on ohiorotaries.com and cincysportscar.com and see if any of those guys want to go too. Feel free to invite any other car enthusiasts you know even if they are piston powered.

Looks like I might be getting back into an 8! I miss the overall sports car the 8 feels like. I mean the G is very nice and I love the 298 hp and all the torque, but its not that fun to drive at all. I hardly get any heads turning and plus..all the aftermarket parts for the G are wayy too expensive. I personally think the 8 looks more sexier and not dull and typical like the G does and it handles 10x better than the G.

What do you guys think??

I don't know, I think G's are pretty sexy with a stance adjustment and wheels. But, if it has no feel, it has no feel. I love my 8 because of that feel, so i would probably go back to one if i ever left. It looks like there are a couple on craigslist at the moment. Good luck with the decision.

Yeah I do miss my 8...the only good thing is that the WRX still responds nicely and is a blast to drive, but its just not as sexy as the 8...

Is anyone interested in a set of OEM front rotors? I replaced them with slotted rotors a few months ago because I had been told I needed new ones, but then when my neighbor helped me out with the work he told me that they had plenty of life left on them. But since I had already bought the RB slotteds, I put them on anyways. So now the OEMs have just been sitting around being heavy and taking up space, and I'm sick of trying to find a place for them. But instead of just pitching them, I figured I'd see if anyone here wants them. Free.

OEM Fronts rotors (sport package size), 40k miles on them, FREE, as long as you are willing to pick them up, around the Beechmont/I-275 area. PM me if you're interested.

The G is sex on wheels. I love the exhaust note it puts out. But I see too many of them on the road. They're too common. I'll try to make it this sunday. Whats the plan? Grill out again? If so whos bringing what?

I might be jumping into another S60R.

Other makes are welcome from what i've seen. Do you have a rough idle, a sputter, or anything? it could be plugs and coils, but you may want to have you compression tested as well. I'd be happy to take a look and listen at the meet, but i'm not an expert by any means.

new to lounge

I just bought my RX-8 (used-04) back in June, and am from Brown County (east of Cincy). Would like to meet some fellow rx-8 owners from the area!

I wasn't really planning a cookout or anything. Maybe a cruise or something afterward, but I don't really know the roads in nky that well so you guys will have to help me out with that one.

kellibell: other makes and models are more than welcome.

Okay guys, how about a cruise to Rabbit Hash? This route was suggested to me by casanewt on Cincysportscar.com. What do you think?

alright..so i kinda brought up the cruise, which im PUMPED for..but umm a few days ago my car wouldnt start...here's the deal......

Soo i have a 2004 Manual 8..it has 106,xxx miles, but runs greattt..no problems. Its been running perfect, until this evening when i went to start it in my driveway, it made one crank noice when i went to turn the key, then nothing..so i continuously tried over and over again to start it but nothing happened at all..no cranking, no nothing..its like im turning my key on, and the radio and all comes on, lights work, but no sound...like its not even trying to start..sooo i tried jumping it, to see if it was the battery but no..my radio/subs/headlights everything work...so then i roll it down my driveway and pop the clutch and it starts right up..no problem..i took it out, drives perfect...it wont start with the key tho? But i wouldnt think it'd be the starter, cuz those slowly go out and you can flip it over sometimes? This was just all of a sudden..no previous problems..someone mentioned something about the ignition switch maybe, or maybe the ecu?! Idk..im lost...

So if anyone has had this problem..or if anyone is certain as to what the problem could be, id appreciate it..or if you can point me in the right direction..thanks everyone in advance.

Sooo...ya so i suck at workin on cars..ive heard it could be the ground wires, starter, or ignition switch? its prob somethin superrr simple..but i reallllyyy want it fixed for the cruise on sunday....anyone?!?!

smith0789: Check your wires going to the starter. Sounds like your not making a good connection there, or it's a dead starter. At least that's where i would check first, then move up the chain from there.
