well, serious, but it is likely recover eventually... just some inconvenience and drain of energy from the meds.
Fuz, i'll probably going to the fuel next weekend, and if this thing is not getting better by then, i'll give you a chance to call me sloth... lol I'm really hoping to get better in next couple weeks, so that at least I can go to the autocross at the end of the month at Turfway.

Tact, get better. If Kevin gives you a hard time just smack him around.

Guess what's going into the Miata?

Old Recaro LS, you must have paid a pretty penny for those Chief... or struck a deal on the high seas.

Thanks James. The actual type is LX-C (I have a link to a .pdf of info for old Recaros showing the different permutations if anyone is interested). This is my second set, got the first ones for the 7. Paid about the same amount for both off eBay (latest set was $640 shipped). Should I not be able to squeeze these into the Miata, they will go into the 7 and I'll sell the other set as these are in just a little better condition. I plan on having them recovered just not sure if I will use a local place my friend knows or a guy out in WA state who does a lot of them.

Mike: The old recaro's are cool and period correct for the 7, but why not just buy some modern corbeaus or something for the miata? You'd have the benefit of new seats that dont' need redone, plus you'd have the ability to run legit harnesses if you so choose at some point. You'd be looking at a similar price, and have the ability to run off the shelf sliders/brackets made for the car as well.

I have thought about that Kevin (actually already bought a set of used Corbeau sliders) but I won't be able to get anything that matches my car off the shelf as it were. If you want a heart attack see what Corbeau charges for color matching leather on their seats (the ones I was looking at are $720 shipped for 2. The addition of color matched cloth doubles that, leather is even more). The Miata is hard to buy seats for, most of what fits are one piece racing seats. If I try running that one by the boss, you would hear the slap upside of my head. Similarly a lot of the reclining seats end up sitting too high for the car, and/or are of a style that I think is ugly. For me the Recaros are a win all the way around, should the mesh headrests look too wonky in the car I'll see about getting a set of their normal ones (can probably trade the guy out in WA state). If they end up not working out I won't lose any money on them and will make someone very happy with a set of relatively cheap ones.

That makes sense. I always forget how tight of a fit the NB's are as far as seats go. I'll likely go with recliners myself, because i'll be street driving the car more than tracking it, and fixed backs aren't comfy...at least not in my price range. So i'm totally with you and the wife on that one.

GLWS Erick. Replacing it with anything?

I'm still about a month away from heading home, or I'd be there. Don't want you to feel lonely.

Just bought new wheels for the Miata. They are one of the wife's two hated colors, but in a nod towards compromise they have a polished lip. Maybe the silver will distract her from the other. I just have to decide if I'm staying with 205s (old wheels 7.5 width, new ones 8) or moving up to 225s.

Thought I noticed my post count had increased the other day, just confirmed that our posts in here now count. Wonder when this happened?

What wheels did you get Mike? You can't just say that **** and not post at least a linky.

Go 225 at least. I'm sure you can use the extra width.

If you're in MD, your best bet is to find a local thread to post in. If not, there's usually always some listed in the site wide FS thread.

Of course I can. I'm being secretive and like that. But just for you, because I know having a newborn can make you crazy and I don't want to add to that:
Brand New In Box 15X8 et25 Konig FLATOUT LIMITED EDITION (GOLD W. MACHINE LIP) - Miata Turbo Forum - Turbo Kitten is watching you test compression.

I'm strongly considering 225s, you're right that I can use the extra width. However I've been reading a lot of good things about the new BFG Rivals and they seem to run quite wide, so a 205 in them would probably be good.

Those are gonna look good. I've heard the rivals run wide like an R-comp as well. so usually about +10, so yeah a 205 will probably get you in the same ballpark. I've heard a lot of good thing about that tire as well.

Thanks. I think so too, but I know that I will hear otherwise. You'll see me dragging Robyn over to you next time we are all at Fuel so you can back up my opinion.
