Painting wood trim sucks. I rather stick sharp sticks in my eyes than do this stuff. One coat paint doesn't live up to its advertising.

Steve, while the NC is growing on me, there is no way I could drive around in something that looked like the Great Pumpkin. I was finally able to get mine set up just a little bit ago so the belt stayed put, so tuning begins tomorrow.

 

Color leaves something to be desired. My guess is there will be Velocity Red Mica since Mazda seems to have a boatload of that every year.

Looks to me that's not the original aspect ratio of that picture. Looks squished. So I'm hoping it doesn't look as bulbous and oversized as it does in the picture.

 

The Miata has proved itself as a legit sports legend, these cartoonish looking versions need to go away, and a nice clean design needs to replace the current NC, although this one basically looks like an NC with some add ons.

 

That's an NC with mods to carry it over until 2015. Next gen will have Skyactive.


Anyone else lose power? I've been without power since 5:30. Duke is useless with their updates.

iPhone tethering works well with the laptop. I still have 3+ hours on the laptop left and I'm charging my phone via the USB port while I'm at it.

Not me. I'm sitting in the Hilton at Heathrow terminal 5 in London, stuck here until the 5th for some BS company conference. All they are going to do is tell us what we have to do (on top of just keeping the ships running) and the consequences if we don't. Not any wonder people are going elsewhere to work.

Well, I finally escaped the clutches of Central KY and Harrodsburg, and I am now back in Mason.

I have to say I wish I would have stayed in KY about 2 more hours on Sunday though.

I have some lovely new texture to the hood of my RX8 from the quarter sized hail I drove through Sunday night just before getting home.

I've been driving the Miata all week since you never know with these popup storms that come on quickly. I can deal with the Miata getting dinged since it sits outside anyway.

 

Nah, I had to drop down to state minimums when I lost my "good" job last year. It's not *bad* damage, and most of it I can work out myself. I still think she looks damned good for 109,000 miles.

Might of seen you once, I saw a red one when i was getting on the highway, it had a spoiler on it that ive havnt seen on an rx8 before. I work at the Quicklane across fron O'charleys

 

My spoiler is factory, so I don't think that is me.

The only other owners that I have actually MET in this area were up at Burger King at Kings Mills one night.
