1. I do have a Greddy turbo installed, it does put out 284whp, which I'am not all that impressed with, but much better then without one...

2. Since then Pettit, SFR, Hymee, Richard Paul,Etc have been coming out with one for 2 years still waiting , SFR posted 326whp better than mine but not at $7,500...

3. Now Mazsport, which as said before, I have talked to many times about this New kit and still believe he really cares about putting a quality product out there... And I Know he's busy, we all are, But if his turbo will put out 400whp, That's all I'am saying is show it . I believe he would have many more clients, and again I know he's busy, but more clients buying his turbo kits just keeps the RD going more... By the way seems I'am taking alittle beating ever so often for something I think everyone would like to know... Rich
#1. Pettit, Hymee, R Paul are coming out with a supercharger not a turbo! Big difference. 400whp from a supercharger?

#2. The Mazsport kit i believe will put out the 400whp. Scott is still perfecting the tunning and at what psi? My guess would be 10-12psi.

#3. Chris Diasio race car with a Renesis GT35R turbo has hit the 360whp # at 8.5 psi! Pretty close.

#4. I think we all thought that the 400whp mark would be broken by now. I think we still have a way's to go before we hit that majic number!!

The point is, a 400whp number will not be met until a customer comes in that WANTS IT.

The majority of people who are willing to slap down 9500+install for a turbo kit on an already 30,000 car, plus whatever thousands of dollars in mods that are probably done, will PROBABLY want to play it cool on the reliability side of things. Dangerous AFR numbers are not something you are willing to play with when you don't have the money to fix a huge problem (like a blown engine) if it occurs.

Also -- why do you need to see the 400whp number? Obviously, you are the exception to the rule I just posted. This turbo, which I've been told compares to the GT35R (if it isn't one to begin with), is ENTIRELY capable of making more than 400whp. 15psi is the magic number for pump gas, and if this turbo is making 330whp at 9-10psi, 70whp is DEFINITELY possible with 5-6psi more..

Or, if that isn't enough for you, and you want a race map, with race fuel, a GT35R-like turbo will be good to 20-25psi (I don't feel like finding a compressor map), in which case they are easily capable of making 475-525whp on a 13B.

Theres no point in nagging, unless you take the initiative and make these numbers a reality. It IS possible, and it WILL happen -- when a customer wants it to.

Thanks for all input guys, good and bad. I just wanted to see something posted to really compare, and have it posted for all of us... Monday I call Scott again , hopefully he will have afew moments to spare, and I will see if he can fax me any updates on the dynos, Then I will make my final decison if to buy this new kit or to purchase a different sports car... I just like the Rotary sound with this high reving motor, anyways thanks all. Rich

I'm really diggin' the line up of catch cans up on the firewall.

I'd like to see the battery relocated..especially with the newly placed turbo putting weight up high and in front like that. Need to make a polished cover for the fuse box, too!

Uhm, if I'm not mistaken, the battery is indeed RIGHT in front of engine, just on the wrong side!

I've circled it in red, just in case

But no, I was thinking somewhere to create a balance of weight, or, to remove more weigh from the front end. Like, up on the firewall, or in the trunk. With the turbo there now, that's a whole lot of weight up high.

Man if you are that worried about the weight, get a type 1. You want the bling, you are choosing to put the turbo there. That is why I sport a Type 1.

My turbo sits behind the front axel, along with almost all of the "added weight". I don't personally see a huge benefit to moving the battery in this case. You could honestly probably go on a diet and have a larger impact to performance on your car. That being said, I am sure it would sell well.

Well..................What to say but why would I be selling the best turbo kit on the market????

And yes this customer wants ungodly amounts of power from this engine and we will reach this goal, scott and I are on the same page right now so buzz off Rich and STFU. I actually have much higher needs and wants from this engine and have plans to set the standards along with Scott for what an RX-8 should drive like and perform for daily use.

BTW I work 10 times harder then you for my money, being only 22 and putting this kinda money into a project insane but I feel we are going to shatter the 400whp number.

This other day I was in tampa again and Scott was tweaking my car.......I haven't told him yet but we NAILED this on the head......the car is absolutely running PURRRFECT. Literally, this car right now is running better with his kit on the car then when I drove it off the lot from the dealership. Truly, among men Scott is Rotary God and if anyone is going to acheive these goals it is going to be Scott.

The dyno is coming very soon....................sooner then you think

INSANE.......What a ***....Come to orlando and I will show you insanity while I run circles around your slow *** (race gas only, greddy turbo)

Why must you continously annoy the **** out of everyone go away your not wanted in this thread

I thought only the kids with SRT4's, EVOs, and STIs, bragged about how fast their car is, or made fun of other people's cars.

You do understand that you are on a website where 90% of the cars are not turbocharged at all? And probably 99% of the ones that are, are Greddy turbocharged.

You just made fun of basically the entire community. You should feel like an ***, not to mention, you sound like one, too.

Tone it down a little. Cool, you have a fast RX8. Your ability to brag (which, I'm not sure why you do, I mean, 400whp isn't exactly a lot if you are going to go on talking like your RX8 is the fastest car ever) is not in question here. We can see you do that fairly well. We just want numbers.

there is nothing wrong with girls that carry purses.....keep telling myself...

Oh, don't worry about that blue monster, he has his own Greddy tale to tell....
I suppose it is one of those rights of passage things, you can't rag on Greddy unless you have owned one? LOL

The heat is on in the house, we are all ready to dyno the car, just need the time! It is appropriate to get a bit intense before the big day. I will talk with Scott and see if we can lock a day down next week...

by the way, I have the fastest NA out there, LOL, JUST KIDDING!!
