OMG! That is pimp. Scott... please feel free to be creative when you get my car.... .DAYAM! That is sooooo nice!

As far as the 400hp... the system certainly pushes enough boost, its kinda up to the owner how far they want to go. Personally, I am happy to back off a little bit and have a little more piece of mind.

That needs to be changed to stainless steel ASAP....Unless you enjoy severe over boosts..

My silicone line has been fine since install. And the intx has a overboost cut parameter defined. As a mater in fact, it looked almost brand new when I looked last week.

Yeah..they normally look fine <.<

Don't say no one told you when you spike to 30psi weeeeee

Edit: Yes, I am trying to instill fear in to you, but this has happened to one-to-many RX7's, and it always makes me cry. J-Rat has a completely healthy motor, everything was GREAT and reliable..until this little line blew.

did you miss the part I mentioned about the Interceptor X having a boost cut feature enabled? You wouln't hit 30PSI, because the engine management would cut your engine above the set threshold.

Did you miss the part about boost pressure spiking will ABSOLUTELY overcome the speed of the computer 99% of the time?

J-Rat was running a Haltech, with the same feature you speak of. Those computer are fast..I would think as fast, or faster than the Interceptor-X. It couldn't catch it in time. When a turbo spools, it SPOOLS..its not except "gradual" when it spikes..

In summary, the EMS will not cut the throttle fast enough to catch a spike.

Scott, you gotta have some dyno's by now. I know your well respected here and I trust you too, but I have to justify the amount of money this unit cost by seeing hard Data.. Thanks .... Rich

Easy.......breathe.......I was right there too....trust me.....you will be very satisfied with the end product. Scott doesn't check the forums as much as you think he is more of in the shop kinda guy, Mantis is the one that does all the leg work on the forums. Call them and talk to betsey she will calm you down. LOL

Patience is the key to your sanity.

as far as seeing the actual dyno sheet, yea it'll be nice... , but it's very possible that so far, he only had customers who just wanted a VERY modest tune (i was one of them myself). if i were a tuner, i wouldn't post those sheets here as mark of what this kit is capable of. i would wait for a customer who'll be willing to allow enough psi to show the true capacity of the new product.

well that's just what i think.

Yea I know, I just don't have the patience anymore... I have talked to Scott many times and I know he's always working on someones car, but I can't believe that scott has not taking this kit to where he says it can go without running some dyno's(right Scott). I know mine will post better results because I don't drive my car daily and I always run 100octane since installing my turbo.. I have only 2,500miles on my 2004... Scott call me, I'll call you too.

he's got my car for 20b due in few weeks, few fd's, few miata 13b conversions, and loads of dyno tunes for his turbo kits and bunch others. i know of two people waiting to send their cars in from the forum. even if you pay the full amount for the turbo kits tomorrow, you're still looking at few months wait. my advice is to get in line. and no cutting! jk

Um...maybe you haven't taken a look at the internet, or a car magazine before. Companies claim outrageous numbers all the time, and 75% of the time it is impossible for them to meet it. Scott however has a product that can and will reach 400whp, the fact that he hasn't, isn't exactly a problem. Now, if someone were to go and PROVE that is in impossible for this kit to reach 400whp, well than, we'd have a mess on our hands.

Until that happens...

Stickmantijuana, Your right I know Scott's very busy, but Scott and I have been talking for a year now. I will bet he builds a good turbo, but I aready have the Greddy Turbo and in order for me to justify forking over 8,500 after I aready forked out 4,000 for the Greddy , it would be nice to have a little more comfort knowing what this unit really puts out...

Adrock3217, I know all about the companies out there claiming outrageous claims, remember I have a Greddy Turbo, That's why I'am waiting to see some dyno numbers,
Thanks.
Shaunv74, Ah your just a moron... Sorry but it had to be said

You're the one that bought the Greddy not me...I just mean relax. The guy's job is to work on cars not be on this forum so he's most likely trying to serve all his customers and is really busy. He'll get to you.

Type 1 did 380 with conservative timing on FL gas. You don't think you could pull those last 20 horses out with another lb or so?

Stickmantijuana, Unless you can point me in another direction, what I have seen posted by Betsy was 338rwhp at 9 PSI, While that is much better than my 284wp at 10PSI Greddy, its still along way from 400whp.. I did read that they had problems with spark blow out, I did not see any updates from that showing they fixed that problem and or they boosted any higher...
Slavearm, I did not see anything posted they produced 380whp.. If I'am wrong please correct me and show or tell me where I can see this info.. I have searched ,I could have missed it but I don't think so...
Shaunv74, I'll try.... I'am just trying to figure out if I can get this car to perform the way I want it to ... Rich

People just want some hard numbers to go along with the price tag. It's not unreasonable to ask for it before making a purchase. Anyone who's close to buying would be anxious to know ASAP. Consider it a compliment instead of an insult.

BluMonstrRX8, Well what a nice response, hope you not selling this kit...A little sensitive there.... I live in the real world , and I work hard for my money, So I need to ask enough questions to feel comfortable with spending that amount . I talked to scott many times and by far is the hardest working vendor for the RX8, So that means I trust him, but that doesn't mean I just send someone any amount of money because they say to... I still need proof... If you have a problem with that, sorry but that's too bad... Rich

greddyturbo, just talk to betsey on the phone, she knows all the latest info and has answers to all faq's like yours. she's really resourceful.

let's just hope they hit that magic number with slavearm's car soon for everyone's sake.

and let's refocus. think we're getting off topic.

I completely understand where you are coming from here, but..

You sound like someone who has been ripped off. Or has been waiting for their car to be finished for MONTHS.

Unless I've read wrong, you are simply contemplating the purchase of a Mazsport turbo kit, you as of yet have made no such purchase, and are not of dire important to the Mazsport group..

What I mean by this is, they are a shop. They have work to do. They can't be rushing online whenever someone "perhaps" wanting to purchase their kit says they have to. Give them some time, and enjoy your car, and cash, until then. When they have numbers, for the sake of their sales, I'm pretty sure they will post them ASAP.

AdRoCK3217, After reading my own responses over and over maybe it does sound like I've been ripped off or impatient.... But I haven't been but maybe alittle impatient. But lets think about this for a moment.

1. I do have a Greddy turbo installed, it does put out 284whp, which I'am not all that impressed with, but much better then without one...

2. Since then Pettit, SFR, Hymee, Richard Paul,Etc have been coming out with one for 2 years still waiting , SFR posted 326whp better than mine but not at $7,500...

3. Now Mazsport, which as said before, I have talked to many times about this New kit and still believe he really cares about putting a quality product out there... And I Know he's busy, we all are, But if his turbo will put out 400whp, That's all I'am saying is show it . I believe he would have many more clients, and again I know he's busy, but more clients buying his turbo kits just keeps the RD going more... By the way seems I'am taking alittle beating ever so often for something I think everyone would like to know... Rich
