Mazsport Turbo Kit Type 3

Overview

The high power levels this kit delivers combined with the aggressive front mount intercooler makes this an intimidating force on the street or track. This turbo system locates the turbocharger in the more pronounced position of our type 2 kit while utilizing the large front mount air to air intercooler of our type 1 kit. It incorporates a 3 inch fresh air intake design allowing air to be drawn in from behind the bumper and boost pressure in (controlled by a 44mm stainless steel external waste gate) which is routed back into the 3 inch stainless steel downpipe. The downpipe maintains the standard 3 bolt flange common to the majority of converters and midpipes on the market. The kit also comes complete with our heavy duty motor mount kit to replace the factory components which are common failure points.

I have seen people install turbos over the weekend and/or rush through it with a group of people.

IMO, I would suggest that you set aside a week to take the time to install it carefully so that you make sure everything is done correctly.

Installing a turbo is like a rites of passage. Take the time to enjoy the install. If you dont have that time, you could pay to have it installed or get a group of friends together that have experience to help.

If you are local I would strongly advise having Scott install it for you. There isnt a better situation than having the designer install it. We have many customers that trailer their rotarys in for just that...

That picture is also missing the "special" vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator.

we have the type 3 in the shop on an 8, but we have been soooooo busy. the type 2 should dyno this week (fingers crossed) and we have a full house of 8s and FDs....

trying to get people their cars out before the holidays and the type 2 dyno before Christmas....I would expect to see the type 3 out after the first of the year....

this is my favorite kit, although the type 2 is going to be pretty fierce.....

I am a rotary enthusiast writing all the way from Bangladesh. I own a 2004 JDM spec right hand drive RX-8 Type S (250ps). I have been watching the development of FI options for the RX-8 for over a year and patiently waiting for someone to finally come up with a reliable solution. Your work with the Turbo kit & interceptor is impressive. I am very interested to import a Stage 3 kit and install in my RX-8. I will need loads of technical support from you as there are no Dyno in this country! But the good news is that I have hands on experience in tuning EMS as my line of work is conversion of Gasoline & Diesel engines to natural gas. The gasoline here is pretty crappy (87 Octane) but I use mix of Toluene for my Toyota 4A-GZE (other car). I would therefore like to know if Inteceptor X is compatible with JDM RHD RX-8s. And yes I do have a speed limiter which kicks in at 187km/h.

Anji.
