gut the thermostat? you want to circulate cold coolant through the motor on start up?

Gutting the thermostat is not going to lower the cars peak water temp 1 single degree.

Well, that would only be true if the thermostat isn't a restriction.
I don't know if it is or isn't.
In places like Phoenix, the coolant is never "cold". Today, I started my car after sitting in the garage over night and the coolant temp was 140° before I could put on my seatbelt.

Come to Indianapolis in the middle of winter w/ the poor little 8 tucked away in the garage to protect it from the snow/slush/crappy winter drivers and you may start to remember!!!

Because, in another 6 weeks or so, it will be in the 70's to 80's, dry and sunny and stay that way for 6 months.

This summer has been significantly more brutal than the last two years.

Well well (Now that's a deep subject, and wet too ).

We just returned from the dyno and the results were wonderful. This is especially cool because as I stated previously, power increase is only a secondary benefit of the RE-medy hi flow pump. My guy Will is going to post up the results and I will provide some video as well in time.

We are out of stock for at least the next week but I intend to bring some to Sevenstock.

Happy Paul

We want to thank Charlie of Mazcare for allowing us to use his shop for the install as it is much closer to the dyno. Because of this we were able to do before and after runs.

For those of you who don't know - i'm Will and work at Mazmart.

Me and Paul had a very interesting day at the dyno today. This morning my car ran 192.6 HP. This run was done with K&N Typhoon ver. 2 intake, RX7 Store Midpipe, Corksport Exhaust, relatively new plugs and magnecor wires, and so-so coils with 40k miles on them. I was pretty pleased with the 192.6 especially considering i was on original coils.

So me an Paul swapped out coils real quick while still on the dyno and ran again two more times. Gained 9.6 HP and pulled a 202.2. I was quite happy with the results. 202.2 seems pretty good to me.

We then ran down the street to Mazcare, where Charlie was kind enough to let me and paul use his shop to swap our Mazmart water pump onto my car. During the install we were very careful to not change ANYTHING else on the car that may cause a change in dyno results. We did not even disconnect the battery, because we were worried that a computer reset may change our dyno results. We also took plenty of pics during the install so you guys can expect a DIY write up with some pics soon on the install for this pump!

We then headed back over to Dynolab and got back on the dyno - pulled a 208.6. Needless to say me and Paul couldn't stop grinning. We gained 6.4 hp.

A few notes - the ambient temperature during all of the dyno runs was 80*. The dyno we used was a Dynojet here at Dynolab in Atlanta.

I will scan and post dyno graphs from today here a little bit later this evening.

Unfortunately, I do not have a water temp gauge in my car. I have driven approx 30 miles since installing the pump and its running very well. I am going to work on geting a water temp gauge this week so we can see some results as far as cooling goes.

Will
