When you selected "Tune" in the calibration menu and then "current tune" what did it say?

 

On my AP it isn't "Tune", it was "Current Map" and it said "mm_reflash". That calibration wasn't listed on the AP under the "Map" option nor was it listed on the AP using the AP Manger software.

I have said multiple times that the calibration wasn't on the AP at all. Nor was it on the AP after doing the "Uninstall" option. The "Uninstall" option asked once for confirmation then reflashed the car without saving anything. It never said "saving data" only "flashing data"

[edit] I had checked the AP using the AP Manager software before uninstalling the AP from the car and the only calibrations it showed were the stock COBB calibrations and the two default ones by MM. It didn't list the "mm_reflash" calibration that the AP showed was the current calibration loaded in the car.

Tonight konig helped me get some data logs the info you had requested on page 1 and sent you a email of the google check out number with the 11 deadly questions..cant wait till i finally see boost again..thanks jeff!

I have a really old tune on my car that you did for me in April 2008. I can see that lots has changed since then so should be just start from scratch?

 

Anyone know the oil metering values MM runs? I want to put a tune on the car that will provide adequate oiling while waiting for a tune from MM. I don't trust the OEM tune. I am NA with cat delete pipe and catback exhaust.

Unless its safe to beat the car with his default tune?

Hello. I've just received my 4.0.4 calibration.

In the mail it says that it should be final and I should try out to verify. Does that mean that I should take new logs and resubmit anyway or not? (once verified it runs... I suppose it does as I haven't had any issue with calibrations yet)

BTW, do you know if the cruise control can be activated through the AP? I remember that back in '04, in the european rx8's that hadn't the cruise control installed from factory you could install the part for yourself and it worked until one of the 05 flashes came out, which disabled the cruise control in cars that had not that gadget from factory. Could it be activated again through the AP?

Sorry one last thing.. Is it possible that removing the cat only required one step in the callibration process? From 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 to be more precise. (I'm sorry I couldn't remove it before). I'm asking this just in case the actual change was missed in the mod list (no offence intended, but to err is human).

Send logs one last time to make sure it is all ok.

Cruise control is not a performance parameter. Therefore, I have no access to it.

Your last logs were based on the CAT being gone, correct? Well, the current calibration is based on your logs. So, that should answer your question!

Yes, last logs where taken without cat. My question about the cat delete was more towards if that last tune is leaner than before where needed, as there is no cat to kill now.

Your tune was already pretty lean. There isn't any power to be had running any leaner.

 

Just for the sake of being less ignorant, if you don't mind. Would it be possible to run leaner even if no power gains where possible, just for better fuel economy (but maintaining power gains)?

I'm asking just because if in the future I do any other mod, I'd surely take that into account when thinking about purchasing the callibration service again.

1) IF YOU DID NOT USE THE E-MAIL ADDRESS WHERE YOU WANT TO RECEIVE SERVICE AS YOUR PURCHASE ADDRESS AS INDICATED IN THE ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS DURING YOUR GOOGLE CHECKOUT, THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.

2) IF YOU DO NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SELECT THE WRONG PARAMETERS FOR LOGGING, THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.

3) IF YOU DO NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND SUBMIT A WOT LOG ON THE BASE CALIBRATION (v4.0), THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.

4) IF YOU DO NOT READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND DO NOT INCLUDE YOUR CALIBRATION IN YOUR SUBMISSION, THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.

The "first post" instructions are likely to get out of sync from time to time.

 

1) I have the same email address.
2) All of the correct parameters were set for the logs.
3) I can't find a flat stretch of high way to do a WOT log. That and the cops in my area already slammed me for speeding tickets.
4) I included my base calibration that was used when making the logs.
5) I sent you 3 different cruise logs so that you'd get all the data you needed.

shucks! i was wondering why i havent gotten a confirmation and just re-read the first page and i didnt read the "FI" instructions! looks like i need some WOT runs on the fwy..i hope my afr's dont skyrocket...i should be able to send you some logs by the end of this weekend jeff
