Well, UPS for some strange reason came in the middle of the day, instead of 6pm like they usually do. Good thing I am working from home today - going to go for a spin shortly

I'll know right away if it's working or not because the car can't even idle properly right now with the larger fuel injectors.

anyone getting theirs saturday????
Mine's scheduled to arrive on the 18th, but I'll probably redirect it to my work address. Hoping the street cleaners will be out in my neighborhood this week/weekend to get rid of the salt and sand from winter before I play with the AP. I stored my 8 for the winter.

You guys will have to wait along with me... can't start up my car. Batt is too low. Waiting for my GF to get home so I can jump start it.

The car has been sitting around in my garage for 2 weeks without being driven

Even though this thread is at the top of the forum, it should be the top sticky.

Yeah, it is VERY important to have a full battery. The flash RAM in the PCM likes to be juiced pretty good to do its thing.
I need to ask Joff about that stuff.

The manual tells you to make sure you have a full batt. I read it and ignored it. They only used the word IMPORTANT! once, so I didn't think it was important.

The scale usually goes like this:

IMPORTANT! - disregard this warning
VERY IMPORTANT! - get to it later
URGENT WARNING! - yeah, OK
DANGER! POSSIBLE PERMANENT CATASTROPHIC INJURY OR DEATH! - where is my bottle opener...

There is no such thing as a "nitrous map".
There isn't any way to tell the PCM that it is receiving nitrous.
You could setup the VFAD to trigger your nitrous, but it would still be up to you to jet the fuel/nitrous properly.
I suppose you could use a version of the turbo maps to retard timing in those ranges as well.

BTW - I've had to change the way I deliver the calibrations because of theft/hacking issues.
Since they are locked to the customer (and watermarked), it isn't a big deal, but I was already getting my server pinged in unauthorized access.
Everyone that gets an AP will get their calibrations directly through e-mail.

interesting reads for the fuel noob like myself

Actually, your cars do not care about AFR, they care about Lambda. Lambda is universal, so the fuel being run does not make a difference from a Lambda perspective, 1 Lambda = 1 Lambda = perfect burn, regardless of fuel.

I hope that helps.

Take care,
Christian.
