(I was that Pettit 6 port owner)
It went great! The AP tune seems perfect and once in boost, holds such a steady 11.0 AFR that I almost don't believe it true. Have about 75 miles logged so far with it and no LTFT and STFT is also about spot on (+- only a few percent). Looking forward to some dyno tuning later next week.
I don't know if its me, but since bumping up the OMP output it seems compression is up. When I get off the gas, engine braking seems more pronounced than it was with the Int-X.
Idle is set IIRC at 1050RPM. 950 RPM idle also was okay, but only when the engine was already warm. Starting it cold with 950 RPM idle was unstable.

Jeff:
What are your thoughts on the effects some of these conservative tunes (1B, 2, etc) could have an an N/A's Cat.
We see some of these things going out in stock form but do you think it'll get better / worse / or the same with changing the fuel trims / AFR's?
Just throwing out questions as they pop up or throwing out questions that other members might have...

I'm always wondering if the Mazsport Ignition Module is incorprated in any of the stages, or considering when designing a tune. Also waiting on Razz1's reports since he was investigating. I know the Mazport Ignition was never designed to be a power mod, but it has proven to provide a few. Just wondering if the Cobb will let us tap into more of its potential.

The more conservative the A/Fs, the longer the CAT life.
If someone is that worried about the CAT, they probably shouldn't be looking for more power.
An ignition upgrade is a corrective mod.

I'm not sure why everyone seems to be having so many problems with aftermarket intakes and exhausts. I installed the Cobb Stage 1 on my S/C kit (sans pulleys), the AFRs are right where they're supposed to be, the LTFT is dead on 0, and I have a straight pipe where the CAT used to be.

I almost missed the "sans pulleys" part and shot coffee out of my nose.
You can stick the MM Pettit calibration on there when I send it to you.
I just need to port it to your year.

Cool. As you know, I will not be able to use it right away. But that is okay, because you're going dyno tuning next week (yay!), and i'll be able to start with those maps.
The AP really needs a custom mounting device for the dash, or console. I'll eventually rig something up.

Just wanted to say that MM got me a tune that is set to run a little richer for my setup and my scary lean AFRs have gone away. Just did a few test runs last night but didnt but any serious time into it yet. AFRs seemed to range peg around 11.2 - 12.4 for most of the range 5500+ WOT.
Much better than the high 14s, low 15 I was seeing previously.

We want to see 12.8:1 - 13.3:1 or so in those same ranges.
You should be able to use it immediately, even without the S/C hooked up.

This may be a little OT, but what's the best way to log an accurate AFR with an early model Canscan unit that's serial only? I'm using OBDScan v3.56r1 and the only way I've found is logging O2S1 and multiplying by stoich (14.7). It seems to be OK just for comparison, but I kinda doubt its accuracy.

We can also discuss the output in terms of lambda so you don't have to do the multiplication.

It's about as accurate as you can get without hooking up an exhaust gas analyzer (before the cat) and factoring in the difference.

choose the ipod/cell phone holder and more than like the AP will fit nicely
