Hello Mazdamaniac,

Have you received my ROM dump? Can AP work for my car?

Regards,

David

Hey Jeff realize you must be pulling your hair out by now and back logged up to your ears..........but what I've heard well worth the wait. Just was a little confussed on why I was sent a second notice or confirmation today about logs submitted for my first tune....which states everything is fine . First confirmation I got was Oct 21/10

I worked through all of the submissions that were sent prior to and after the holiday...I imagine the only way you would have gotten a reply is if you sent in logs...

I'll take a look and see what's up.

Hey Charles! thanks for looking into it.............though I've only made the submission once and that was back in Oct. Followed instructions to a "T" and understood resubmitting submissions was a no, no after confirmation. Any how thanks.

Responded to you...looks like I just got mixed up in what I was responding to. No issues.

Dear Jeff,
I wrote to you several times to know if there has been some troubles with the e-mail, I'm still waiting for the FIRST map, or is it normal that I sent to you my log on the 14th of September and I haven't received nothing yet?
I would like to know the reason why after many emails I wrote I still don't have the answer...as per me there are many other RX8Tribe.com users.
I think this behavior is not correct and professional, due to the fact that you have enough time to reply here.
I would like a reply, for being reassured, or better for receiving my map.

Thank you

I don't know what you did before to cause the rejection notice. I don't keep a copy of rejected calibration requests.

I resent my submission exactly as above (with ## filled in obviously) and still got the rejection email that I did not answer the 11 deadly questions correctly. I seriously have no idea what I need to correct....

Question here regarding a change between submissions.

I had to shift over to my winter tire setup, which have a different total rotational diameter than my stock wheels and 245s. (my speedo is actually correct with winter tires on )

Does this cause a problem at all from one log submission step to the next? I am thinking more along the lines of acceleration rate, RPM to speed comparison, etc...

If it does, it is a simple matter for me to swap the summers back on for the next log on a dry day, then back to the winters once the log is done. This is the only change, I just want to be clear on if this will make an impact.

No I guess. Time and speed are not factors when tuning.

Different sized tires will not affect your tune since it has nothing to do with the engine.

I searched through my emails using your username since I have no other information about you posted in this thread and was unable to locate any emails at all.

Resubmit and we'll go from there.

In that case, what about bodykits? those replica ones that are made out fibre, that will add a tad bit of weight to the car (if u put front, rear bumpers plus sideskirts)
How about those that are on widebody? or those on gull wings (20kg each side for the hinge)?

Will wight affect the tuning process? Do we have to specify these?

The items that effect tunes are anything that deals with airflow or fueling. Body kits, wheels, tires or any items that have nothing to do with the operation of your motor do not effect your tune.

Todd, I am assuming you sent me the confirmation today. I am a bit worried by the fact you said my submission I sent 12/11 was a blank email with attachments. I looked at my sent email and I see my 11 deadly questions in it. Is there any filtering being done on your end? I am wondering if that is what happened to my original submission I sent back on September 12th. I am just worried about this happening again with future submissions. Any ideas? Thanks!

Yep, correct. The email body was totally blank. The follow-up email you sent had the questions in it. I don't have any filters setup other than a virus scan so nothing I have would be altering the body of the email. I'm unsure what the issue might be. You might try sending your email in a plain text format as I have no issues with those and that is how your follow up message came.
