Hey any of you OKC guys know of any junkyards with salvaged rx-8's? i need a few parts for testing a starting problem. I dont want to buy new parts to just change out and not fix the issue.

I need a used alternator, and ESS (Ecentric Shaft Sensor Switch), and ESS plug and wire set.

i have been chasing a hard starting problem ever since I relocated my battery! UGGGGH!

changed the starter, helped for a little while (1 week), checked all my grounds again, and again, and again. cleared the memory, cleaned the MAF. Checked the connector to the ESS. you name it, i probably have done it.

B & B Auto Recyclers in Midwest City had a 2004 with front end damage on their lot. It looks like they also have a 2005. The 2005 shows that it has an alternator available. They have a website where you can search for parts, but I'm not sure how often they update it.

yeah, lets shoot for like mid december or january. my 8 is in the shop. but im down in Norman, so anywhere around the OKC area would be cool. We could drive downtown and around draper lake n take some pictures or whatever.

 

South OKC here. Any body been getting together? Have a few rotary toys and would like to see what some others have.

yeah, ive worked there for a while now. If you also had the pleasure of seeing my huge dent on the left fender, that would be from my mom backing into it.

 

saw this in the parking lot during bedlam. thought it was pretty clean...was there a dent in it?

 

Yeah there was, it is actually in the shop getting fixed. ill have pics when it gets out.

 

We seriously need to get together. I haven't seen any of you since we went to Noble last April. We should do something over the break. I am available pretty much anytime. Plus, I want to show off my new goodies.
