these are all dates for autocross days in stroud at the old mall sight. ill be there watching and running some. didnt run today but there were about 4 other rx8 owner there as well so if anyone want to drive or even hang out! come!!!

 

Sorry I haven't been around to talk to you guys. Im in Louisiana for the summer so I won't be able to go to any of the events. Not like it matters right now anyway since my car is in the shop. 2 Days before i left for LA, some jackass backed into me and destroyed my front driver's side fender. Totally screwed up the wheel and suspension on that side too. So, I cant even drive it right now. Have a Ford Fusion rental. Anyway, I'll get back in touch as soon as I'm back to Oklahoma. Talk to you all later.

 

Let me know how much air you get in that Fusion.

 

Alice, is there a cover fee for participation in this? are they sanctioned events?

THESE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE LEFT IN STROUD THIS YEAR. THINK ITS 25 TO PARTICIPATE. ILL GET STINGRAY TO POST UP SOME MORE STUFF IF I HAVE FORGOTTIN ANYTHING. YOU WILL NEED A HELMET AND PRETTY SURE YOU NEED TO BE THERE BY 9 FOR REGISTRATION.

 

Yearly Member and Weekend Member - 1st class $20 - 2nd class $12
Weekend Membership (for non SCCA members) - $15
Students will get a $5 discount on their SECOND class

So it breaks down to SCCA yearly members are still $32 for two classes, weekend members are still $47 for two classes, and students are $27 (SCCA yearly member) or $42 (weekend member) for two classes.

Helmets are provided but they are not very good and there are not very many of them.

I'm doing good. I forgot to mention I'm in eastern OKC area. I doubt I'll be going to any events anytime soon, I'm 16 and got my 8 and am now working on selling it to get a 6 spd 8.

 

You don't have to race, you could just go watch like i am.

 

Finally got my car out of the shop... 3 weeks to fix it . Anyway, met some pretty cool guys up here in Louisiana. Mazda club so not dedicated to 8's, but still pretty cool, have to have a speed model if you're not an 8. Glad to see more people are slowly introducing themselves in the OKC area. Lets keep it up and get seen by some people. Also, finally did some mods. Got a new Borla exhaust and dropped the car about an inch and a half. Looks really good. Soon as I can remember to take pics, I'll post them. You guys take it easy and I'll see yall in late August.

 

I'll see if i can make some of those events. I think I saw wOrm on sooner a couple days ago.

 

Dang i was looking for short shifter's...everyone seems to like AFE's but thats pretty expensive.

I got a comptech SS for my si and it was around 50-60 bucks. granted it wasnt the Mugen Shifter which is 100+ but still. lol

Anyone know of anything cheaper?

Great tool for anyone with an 8, i have a zip copy (92.5 MB) of the Mazda Shop Manual for the RX-8. it has all the wiring pin outs, details on how to take the entire car apart screw by screw, bolt by bolt.
Even has electrical specs for testing components.

autocross was awesome. didnt get to run today. we stayed at mercy hospital till 2:30 this morning waiting on the wife to have the baby. she was having contractions 5 to 8 min apart but not dialating so they sent us home. hoping to run in the next one alot of cool cars and a tun of pics check my myspace out for photos.http://www.myspace.com/trying2believe_her
