well hello steven, im jr and i pilot a Sunlight Silver 8. First thing i recommend for your 8, is make sure to check your oil level often, get some really sticky tires, and loose the cat. Let the rotors wail : )

I would get a BHR ignition and a flywheel first. That will make more difference than losing the cat. With the cost and wait time of tuning the Cobb I would wait until you further your mod list a little. The stage 1 flash from Cobb isn't safe on the RX8.

***** im with Jim on this one id wait on the AP i have one but i got screwed on mine i have to send it in since the guy wasnt honest and didnt unmarry it from the car itself. And being a manual car the flywheel and short throw would be best bet i will be removing my cat in a week or so, its not illegal here since we have no emissions

I know a few people in texas that run catless. You just have to stay out of it when you are around cops. I've done some cruises down there. I haven't had any trouble and my car is loud. Get a good midpipe and leave your stock exhaust. You will be suprised.

Just completed my first mod. racing beat oil cooler screens. Had to take the bumper off and when i put it back on the place right above the sidemarkers behind the front headlights sticks out a bit. was like this before i took it off i just thought some1 did a shitty job of putting it back on but after some investigation found out that the snapclips that keep it sucked in and flush have been worn down. Have any of yall taken the bumber off and know what peice im talking about. gonna search the site and try to find the name of the part and if i can order new ones or find a way to rig the old worn down ones. any help would be apperciated. This is a 2004 MT if that means anything.

Pretty sure its just when your gunning it, really going from like 2nd to 3rd is when i see it most but u have to be doing some really spirited driving, and for the piece iv seen a lot of people with that problem with their bumper but idk what the piece is called and nice mod! Time for more haha

Alice idk if going straight pipe is the best thing. I looked into it once and people said they actually lose power and torque, but idk if thats true so thats why i went Agency Power. And Steven i got pulled over 2nd day i got the exhaust and they just told me to take it off or else. I lied and said i would lol and it will melt your exhaust shrouds and i dont care i love looking back and seeing the road light up. Ill upload a pic of the flames soon so you can see the size haha btw the sound is like a god

Well i really want the borla with a agency power midpipe, but i guess im just gonna wait to see where i get stationed and see what the laws there are, id only straight pipe it for a few weeks before i leave and replace it but right now sounds like to much work for me haha i dont need to be crunched for time i have exactly 3 weeks from today

Alice I would either go bhr or racing beat on a midpipe. You will get a way better sound and better flow. The borla exhaust is loud on it's own. My turbo xs doesn't melt my shrouds and I get so pretty sick flames. I think my car is to loud tho. I'm getting ready to turbo it so it should quiet down. I haven't been stopped for my exhaust yet (fingers crossed).

You should. You just have to heat up the midpipe. Run around 6-8k on the hwy for a couple minutes to get it hot.

Definitely BHR and have them add a second bung so that you already have the place for your wideband. It is an option on the midpipe. I'm going to change mine eventually but I have to finish gathering funds for my turbo. It's going in next month. I'm buying a used kit from my mechanic. At least that is the plan foreseeing no unfortunate drama.
