look up texas mile online. Its a huge event between san antonio and victoria. I have a buddy running 2 bikes and trying to achieve over 200mph on them there. I am going as support because it was already full by the time I decided to go.

On a side note I cannot make the Sept. meet as I will be playing the Oklahoma Open the 17-19.

Going to try to add some guages to the car before the meet, if i can get my hands on the dual vent guage pods, probably do oil temp and engine temp, any guage suggestions? Talked the wife into supercharger set up so thats what im heading to hopefully be totally done with it by august next year!

If the meet is the 19th, I will be there. I had thought that is was the 18th and I wouldn't be able to make it since that is the day of my wife's 30th birthday. However, since it is the 19th, I will definitely be there.

Sweet, I can't wait to see it. I'll be there. I'm getting my front bumper repainted before then. I destroyed the paint doing the Texas8. But I'll do it again next year.

I need to get the corner lights fixed and the whole thing repainted eventually. This time I will use a shop that actually looks at the paint before they give it to a customer. I should have known better than having my wife go and pick it up. Oh well, at least this way i can get some of the other stuff done that I wanted, like shaving my trunk and having my INGS wing molded to the car.

 

I'm looking into some skirts and a rear bumper. I want something simple and clean. They also can't be lower than my front bumper.

 

im wanting either the rmajic or the tsunami kit, then get my baby repainted for sure, have the hood color matched to the car as well.

 

There's a guy in mannford that was ordering the tsunami as well. You have to buy the whole kit now and it takes 3 weeks for him to make it before it can be shipped. It's front bumper and side skirts, no rear made.

 

im gonna try to order a front lip and side skirts hopefully before the meet... was gonna get carbon fiber but do to crappy oklahoma roads im getting the black finish version...

 

I hope this is not off topic but i'm really in need of some advice!
I have an 05 manual transmission rx8 that i bought a few months ago. I have been trying to figure out this weird harmonic vibration that seems to be coming from the rear end. I took it to the dealership to have them diagnose the problem and they sugested that it could be my right wheel bearing, a damaged propellar shaft, or a damaged differential. I changed the right wheel bearing on my own and it did not fix the problem. So i took it too a local mechanic and he ended up checking the propellar shaft which was slightly out of balance. They balanced the propellar shaft and ruled out bent rims, tires, other wheel bearings etc. We finally came to the conculsion that it had to be the differential. Well i bought a used one and replaced it but the problem is not fixed. Now we are on to looking at rear axle/driveshafts. You guys have anyother ideas?

Anyways all that to say that i have a 2005 differential that i would like to sell.
I was wondering if you could give me some pointers as to where to sell such a part or if any one here local needs it!

No clue Warrior. Is it more rattle or vibration? If it is vibration, then you have checked all of the things that I would have. If it is a rattle, check your exhaust shield as it can cause a rattle that can be hard to detect by mechanics.

 

Jbritt it is more of a vibration, a crescendo decrescendo type vibration between 60 and 72 mph.
Thanks for your advice! I actually did have a rattle from the exhaust shield that i found awhile back!

 

I never pulled my diff when I had my rx8, but on the 7's its a good idea to change the mounts for the diff as I have had them wear out and cause vibrations and clunking noises. Did you install new mounts when swapping diffs?
